Durability of Different Blends of BDU Material

Hello,

I searched around and did not find a comprehensive answer to my question. What is the best blend of material for BDU durability? Durability includes wear and tear, potential colour fading, and comfort on those warmer days.

I know more cotton breathes better, but is more prone to tearing. % wise how much of each material (cotton, polyester, nylon) is best in your experience and from your knowledge of armed forces around the world.

Additionally I am looking for digital woodland (MARPATesque) BDU and boonie from preferably a Canadian retailer, but would look at all otptions. I have several that I have looked at, but want imput on material blends before I order.

Nyco is the most durable BDU material in my opinion. Usually 50/50 Nylon Cotton blend although sometimes 70/30.

There are a number of digital woodland patterns available from a number of retailers, although most are stateside. USCAV or BDU.COM are good places to source.

Ripstop is also durable since there's some extra material woven in to strengthen the fabric.
