JG HK416 metal body

Hi,

Would it be possible to replace the JG HK416 plastic body by a M-4 Metal body?

If I got it right, M-4 body and HK 416 body are the same (in the airsoft world)?

The bodys are a little differnt. The upper reciver's RIS rails are a little
higher then the normal M4's, and the mag well on the lower is a little differnt.

I say, if you swap them out, the RIS on the top and the RIS rail system wont line up. There will be a noticble "bump" between the RIS rail system, and the body on the upper reciver.

Good point,

Is there any HK416 metal body out there that would fit the HK 416?

I have also been on a look out. Sadly, I havent found anything yet . The metal 416 bodys are hard to come by.

make sure you dont order it from overseas yourself though, or else it would get seized.

I cant really say how big the bump is, but Ill give you a link that has some pictures of a M4 with the 416 front end on it.

that is fugly IMO. tht being said, for those of you who want to order a metal body, huang, Jugglez and 007airsoft would be your best bet.

Hmm, when I look a little closer, It looks like a regular M4 receiver, with Hk416 trades. I noticed that on a 416 receivers it shows almost like a slope shape, like there a "hill" starting. Look at the rear sight area, and it will almost look like theres a "hill" going up.

Ill give you a link to what I mean.

http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/j...Comparison.jpg

Its not the greatest picture help, But if you look at the "true" 416 receiver, and compare it to the M4, there will be a differnce. Also take a look at the hight in the longer red circles : http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/j...omparison2.jpg

The M4 receiver sets almost looks like what the receiver set looks like on redwolf does. Dang its hard to find the true 416 receiver sets!

Hope that clears things up

Yep and avoid any nasty surprise

I will most likely go with a metal M4 and try to hide the bump by installating a ACOG to link the front and back section. Look should not be too bad
