CF Issue Fleece
Ok I don't know if many of you have seen them, but the CF Issued fleece tops and bottoms are awesome. They come in Cadpat, and what I like are the built in knee/elbow/butt pads. They are super warm/light and because they are cadpat they look awesome to boot.
However I was wondering if there are any fleeces of the same quality that are made in any other camo patterns? What I am looking for specifically is a ACU fleece that is as good as the Canadian ones. |

The Americans don't make camo fleeces; only seen us an the Brits with them.
The US Army has a black fleece an I believe they are making fleece in foliage green now. IMO the fleece is great when you aren't moving around a lot; or maybe it's just me I seem to heat up really well when wearing tnhe fleece when I'm doin anything physical. I prefer to wear my US M65(?) Jacket Liner. Last edited by -Skeletor-; January 1st, 2008 at 14:39.. |

Our Cadpat fleece was originally issued in OD. I still have a set that I need to exchange. You can find the OD versions at any decent army surplus place. Works great under any other camo.

Ok thanks, I just don't like wearing my CF issued fleeces around, even if no one can see them I still feel dirty lol.
Oh and to MikeL, yea I usually only wear the bottoms, the only time I have worn the tops is when I am stuck with a sentry duty or something where I wont be moving around much. Last edited by Foofighter; January 1st, 2008 at 14:48.. |

+1 the actual fleece is foliage green, I believe theres a 3rd party company making them in ACU. The pattern looks alright in pictures but that never means anything. Look for them on ebay.

Might want to check a hunting supply store, they may have different pattern. But they may mostly be civy pattern camo and not military but you never know. Love my fleece we wore them like PJ's in Bosnia.

I've got the British fleece. DPM pattern print, zippered slash pockets and snazzy wool cuffs (with thumb holes). The only problem I have with them is the collar, which is a V-neck style and does shit all for keeping you're neck warm. Obviously, this is easily solved by a balaclave or a shemagh.
