Help me choose a weaponlight.
Hey guys I was wondering if you guys could help me choose a weaponlight. I need something a light that can handle extreme weather conditions, durable, yet also multi purpose. Right now I am leaning toward either a pentagon light or a surfire. Could you guys please give me your opinions (with pictures and price, if possible) on this subject, thank you for your help.

I think a weapons light is purely individual preference. There are so many on the market to choose from you just have to do the research. As for me, this is the light I purchased as my M4 is a custom full metal Sopmod version.

They have a really nice 500 lumen light there for about 150 dollars shipped. Huang may have it in country. |

Cool thing this thread is up. I saw I Am Legend and I'm curious to know which light is mounted on Will's M4.
I was thinking of buying a SureFire L1 Lumamax:

Just got my dad one of these for Christmas. It's a good light for the electrical work he does, but it's not really suited for weaponlight duty as it's probably not bright enough. You'll illuminate an area, but you won't do anything but draw attention to yourself. $150 at Europe Bound.

this is purely a matter of taste but I use and love this one:
the batteries that come with it are crap though. it's extremely bright, 9v.

...a good weaponlight and not just a pocket flashlight - G&P R500 or the 500 w/ flashing feature. Think its called C3S or something. You can feel the heat on your face from it from about 10 feet away - 500 lumens with 20 mil mount = everything you need. Mine works great indoors for just blinding people. Its like a bloody sun on your gun. AND its rechargeable. My only complaint is that its so enormous that it weighs down yo gun. So like... go do some pull ups or something... and get G&P's R500.

I saw the L1 at 135$ shipping included on ebay.
I'm also thinking about the SureFire A2 Aviator: or the Pentagon X2: I don't want anything big and I don't know about that G&P from Jimski...

In that case I'm going for the Pentagon X3.
It looks like Will's light and it doesn't cost 600$. Besides, I like the light but not the laser.

+1 for the G&P Scorpion R500
Its Ras mountable Uses rechargable batts (instead of eating through C123s) Its 500 lumens (ive used this thing for 3 games and i havent had to charge it yet ) AI Strobe option and its less than 150$

What do you guys think of these?
Surefire E2D https://dstactical.com/product_info....roducts_id=740 Pentagon UL200 (the zenon version is a bit cheaper but I hear they burn out quicker?) https://dstactical.com/product_info....oducts_id=1198 I like the jagged edges on the surfire, and it seems surefirelight are quite a bit less than the pentagon ones...."you get what you pay for" I assume?
