G36k Bottom rail mounts?
I was looking at the bottom of my G36k and noticed that the rail mounts were not identical... I know the smaller holes in the picture are for the G36c rails, but what are the wider bigger holes for?

for the record, you need G36 rails, other ones dont work. get the guarder long g36c rails (set of 3)off ehobbyasia, there 24.99 shipped USD, and they own.

http://cgi.ebay.com/GUARDER-G36C-Pic...em270073851285 I'm thinking that I may get a vert foregrip for my G36k, and you know... Laser sights own.

yes, but they also result in you result in you getting owned as they can be a giveaway in woodland, there good for CQC. Also, you need to spend 100 or more if you want a good one. Id get a tac light, and think about getting an optics system up. And yeah, getting a tac grip adds alot to weapon stability.

For optics I'm thinking of ordering the STAR dual scope top carry handle or the one with a rail system so I can add w/e scope I want.
I'm probably going to pickup a couple more 470 rd hi-caps and then a c-mag from CA. And yes, I'm thinking of going for a green laser instead of red for QCB, and then the tac grip.

the star is made from a different polymer, so the blacks wont match,

Don't waste your time with the STAR dual optic mount. The RDS isn't bright enough to see in normal daylight. If you only play at night or in darkend indoor, it's ok. But otherwise, it's a waste of money. It's either on or off, no brightness adjustment is available. That and the battey cover comes off with the slightest tough, launching you batteries, tension spring and cover across the field.
BTW, I got the Guarder long rails and they fit my real steel G36K handguard just fine.

well the laser sight is handy because you can aim at a target without having to sight a weapon, which means an increase in target acquisition speed. It will give you a greater advantage, however in woodland games, when your stalking, your laser lets people know where you are, when you cant see them.
and yeah, near the top of the hand guard are the ventilation holes. There useful in the real steal G36 because the gas system disperses gas, and the hot gas needs somewhere to spread. G36's as well as the XM8 are known for there hot foregrips due to the gas system used. |

No, look at the top picture that I posted. The two rail mounts near the front of the hand guard are the same diameter as the ones on the side of the gun, then the two other holes farther back are larger then the front ones.

Here, the holes that have arrows are bigger then the ones without:
Why is that?
