Spray bomb it. If you ever decide to go with a different camo in the future you can paint your vest to match. Don't worry about the paint sticking because Cordura is microscopically fuzzy so paint doesn't adhere to it very well. Touch ups are a breeze.

I used to have an assload of MultiCam pouches but after seeing it looks ghey with MARPAT and CADPAT, decided to paint it dark khaki.

No it will not alter the texture. It's only paint. Dust it on rather than laying on a thick layer.

I see no point in dyeing it.

I painted a lot of material when I was doing my ghillie suit. At some point, the material become stiffer and less soft to the touch. Nylon should keep it's kinda soft feel, but when the paint harden, it may become a little ruff.

I dont understand why rit dye would work rather than regular die. And painting doesnt sound all that bad, its just the concept of painting your clothing sounds really weird, and sounds like a good way to ruin a new 150 dollar vest. Plus its molle, so itd be bitch to paint.

I don't paint my clothing but I do paint my gear when appropriate. Again, you're not really ruining it because paint doesn't adhere very well to Cordura. In fact, you'll need to do the occasional touch up. Just do it.

If you dye an expensive piece of kit BLACK, you'll be kicking yourself forever.

You want kit in black, buy kit in black.

I second that.

Painting your gear is rediculous, and it will look like shit in no time, at worst sell the OD and try to find somehing else in black.

Dyeing gear is ridiculous. Painting it is not.
