MP7 Hi-Caps? Release date?
Anyone know when they're coming out?
I'm holding off on buying the standard mags, I think extended ones look much better, but man I need more ammo for it. Any help appreciated, as always.

With Star hopping on the ball like this all the time recently...
TM better get their act together and get their ass in gear with this happening... GO STAR! (Still waiting on a Enfield review though) |

i wonder whether the long version is actually a highcap or just an extended size lowcap. i would prefer the latter.

It's got to be a long lowcap. It's about the size of an MP5 mag, if it was a highcap, it'd be 300 rounds. Now with reasonable ammo loads, the MP7 is starting to look really attractive...

its a 100 rounds.

Yes, I can see that. I was saying if it was a bona fide, winding "hi-cap" then it would probably be in the ballpark of 300 rounds.

also the midcap is a dead give away as to its mechanics.
**edit** I'm a tard. I mis-read the advert.

I got a hold of one, it is the L85A2. The plastic mechbox they use, has a way better durability then a casted metal one. It can withstand colder weather. One problem i found, was that they said that all m4/m16 mags fit, but it will not fit a thermold or a drum mag into, the magwel is too deep. There were some rough edges where you could see the mold from the plastic handguards. Also if you buy a SUSAT for it, you will have a tough time trying to view through it with anything less that wiley x combats or some other smaller ballistic glasses, paintball or even other ballistic goggles like the Hatch B.O.S.S 6000 goggles are just just not comfortable when trying to use the SUSAT. But other than that, the gun is great, has a beautiful weight and feel to it, the LSW weights just about 12 lbs, so it is quite the hefty gun to carry. It has a nice rate of fire, very good range out of the box, it shoots very hot. It is firing around 385fps with .25! Have to cut the spring a little bit because with .2's it fires well over 420fps It only takes a small battery unless you build your own custom battery for it in the handgrip, even says in the manual that's what you have to do. The barrel isn't very tight, it is a 7mm, but that can be fixed very easily with a tight bore barrel if it ever comes out or if it is interchangable with other guns barrels. In final conclusion, this gun is very badass, If you are a fan of the SA80's, i recommend you go out and order one of these bad boys. Nothing comes close to how it feels, they used pressed sheet metal instead of casted metal, the plastic handguards are not cheap, they are well made poly plastic, very tough, also they come with a nice rugged gun case for them. |
