'PROUD Tactical'

These guys are a new gear manufacturer being sold by WGC. Anyone have any experience with them? Hows the build quality? Is it even Cordura? There's not much information on the WGC website and I don't want to end up with something that falls apart or has PALs webbing being torn out in the field.

If somebody can PM me or reply here with more info it would be great. Thanks!

Cheap knock-offs... If you're in for looks of a RAV, etc. Go for it. But I can guarantee you the quality will be no where near what Eagle/Paraclete/etc. offer.

In short:

For looks: PROUD

For functionality: Tiger Tactical, Tactical Tailor, Blackhawk, Eagle, Paraclete, Tag, etc.

Yep, I know for sure that HK replica gear is no where near the level of the authentic stuff. I'm mostly looking for someones hands-on experience with PROUD to see if it is actually complete shit (like some) or if it will hold up well enough in the field (along the lines of Guarder, lets say).

Firemachine, on what do you base your statement of them being cheap crap. If you haven't seen any or even played a game of airsoft, your comments have no base to them, just useless assumption. Not trying to be rude to you.

Hey RC, check the OLKA repros of the RAV out if that's what your interested in. I've heard great reviews of their stuff from an actual RAV owner when he compared both. He said you can buy them from Boomarms. His team mates uses them down in the States.

As well, keep in mind that http://wannabe.ipbhost.com/ makes very high quality replica RAVs for 125 pounds, 5 pound shipping to Canada. Though the 125 pound version is not in smoke green only OD currently, but supposedly, they are trying to acquire more smoke green.

As well as "Tailer" not "Taylor" it's also TAG not Tag.

Two others you missed on that list are High Speed Gear and Drop Zone Tactical. (had to put them in even though you have the etc. )

I've owned the Proud Tactical repro of the Weesatch for a while now. It's seen a good share of games, and I have to say that I am impressed with it.

In terms of build quality, all the stitching is greatm and the pals webbing is all nice and evenly spaced. It even comes with shoulderpads already, unlike the real Weesatch.

So short answer; good value for the money. With the money I saved on the rig, I have more to spend on pouches etc.

Awesome. Thanks for all the feedback, guys. Yours was especially helpful, Kokanee, exactly what I was looking for.

For the record, it's not the RAV I'm interested in, it's the Eagle plate carrier replica.

I guess for airsoft, it'll more then suffice.

I think the point when you become a true gear-whore is when you look at Paraclete pouches with a 5% discount, and call it an amazing deal.

Next in line for me is gonna be a MAV, with TAG pouches.

And thanks everyone for pointing out my typos. My gf was harrassing me to stop surfing the gear section of WGC.

For about $100 cdn difference (including shipping from the US and HK), I would go with the real stuff.

Groombug, SOTech = SloTech ;-)
