G&G MP5 TGM A4 GT Advanced - Confused by Variations
Hey,
I'm relatively new with airsoft but I just bought a G&G MP5 A4 TGM GT Advanced. I was told that this is the toptech version and that it was full metal with a gen 2 gearbox. However, after receiving it I am starting to speculate that it is actually not full metal. Given the feel of the weight and texture, I'm quite convinced that the body is made of good plastic. Am I wrong, or is the body always not metal? Also, I've also always wonder what does TGM stand for if anyone knows. Thanks in advance. Last edited by Beakco; September 17th, 2013 at 21:23.. |

The real steel MP5 has a full metal upper receiver and a polymer lower receiver. G&G has mimicked that as the lower is of a good quality plastic (That's what the reviews and the site says.) I think TGM is G&G's way of saying it's the Top Tech series and to avoid licensing issues with Umarex/H&K. I myself plan to buy one of those when I'm Age verified. (You should if you're 18+) Anyway, have fun with it! G&G is a solid manufacturer and with the Top Tech series it's high quality!

I own the Top Tech G&G MP5A5r and it's a fantastic gun. The lower half is a high quality polymer but so is the real steel.

Thanks guys, that was really helpful. There's just so many variations. So I get the TGM one is basically the same as the G&G MP5 A4 Max except the fps is lower.
BTW what type of battery do you guys use, I realized that my current battery doesn't fit. I think the connector is different. |
