Looking to buy an M4.

Hey everyone. I've recently been thinking about buying an M4. I held off because it seems everyone has one.
Though, I have been thinking about my own needs/wants.

The idea is to have a suitable weapon for our night time skirmish games in the woods. I had thought I want my tracer, flash light and Night Vision to be available on 1 light weight weapon suitable for an Assault.

I was looking at G&G CQB m4's originally, but I'm curious what the community says is best.

Thanks

This question is asked every day. Use the search bar at the top please.

Sorry to sound rude, but I've done 8 months of homework to figure my kit out. People can spend an hour.

If you're questioning whether to buy an M4 or not... Dont do it. Lol.

Other guns can do what M4's can do, pick a gun you like appearance wise and go with that. You can slather it with rails like any other gun if you really want to.

I have a G&G M14, but it's a little heavy for what I'm picturing and cannot accommodate a tracer unit.
I had looked at cutting the -14mm threads on it however. I just don't know about the permanent changes haha

The reason why everyone has an M4 is because it's the most versatile weapons platform ever

Because foregrips and magpul accessories really make your gun shoot better!

I don't see H&K making AK variants

Very very true. I know some of the more basic attachments and such, I suppose the more advanced stuff comes down to preference.

I just wanted a small light weight weapon. My mp5 is a little small for my night vision haha.

I guess I just want to see what brands all you pros use. Most reviews are just like "this is a great product!"
I use an app on my phone so navigating the forums here is a little tricky. I try to find topics containing the info I'm looking for before I post, but hey. I'm a noob.

They couldn't find anything on an AK to improve upon .

All in seriousness though. Its kinda generally accepted that the more you spend on a gun, the more you get out of it. Price really reflects quality when it comes to airsoft.

Granted, if you plan on replacing everything internally, a clone could potentially be a good choice, but tolerances are all over the place with low end guns, so its really a gamble

Yep. The AK is the perfect gun, that's why it's the primary assault rifle of every first nation.... oh wait...

Long firefights are all about mag changes, you wouldn't believe how many people with an AK I've shot while they were reloading lol

I've actually got 3 AR's. A minimalist 14.5" G&P SOPMOD, a custom built 7.5" SBR with the GHK "GBB Box" (for fun, because I could), and an 18" custom "varminter" style AR that's in the works.

I still think the AK is a pretty good platform internally though. Although I've never owned one the internal layout makes sense and seems to be easy to work on.

PS: I've never owned anything Magpul (even the MS2/MS3, I prefer the 5.11/Vtac 2 point). I'm just like that. Instead of the MIAD grip I like Tango Down and Ergo grips. Instead of an AFG I like doing a magwell hold (which apparently is "improper" but this is airsoft anyways). Even my irons are Knights BUIS irons rather than the MBUS that everyone seems to have a hardon for.
