New sight protector
Hello ASC members.
Super new product I am unavailing. Sight protector. This is the video of the new product. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPdLOWIKkQ4 I need some people to give me feedback on this. I am even willing to send some of you a proto for evaluation. I want to know your perspective on this. I lost a few dots in the past... so 3 sight later I got the inspiration for this. Thanks

I wanted to cover most sights. If you reverse it... it can be setup on a scope.

Will need to be different heights to, to accommodate different setup methods. I.e T1 mounted directly on the rail for AK or on the riser for ARs etc.

That looks like it would be quite suitable for my Elcan. When will it be available for purchase?

This is a great idea! However, I have an idea to improve this. Take the concept of the protective screen, but make a metal rail mount attachment (kinda like this ) and have different sized inserts to accomodate the sizes. So it can be interchangeable as well as accomodating! just my 2 cents.

How about making few models: one, as you have right now, one fits all. Then look at the market, what are the mots popular sights out there? Say ACOG and T1s, do models to fit those, at different price that "one fits all", any custom models would have "custom" price.

that would fall under "custom". What you can do is look at the market and see the most common systems people use, like ACOG, T1 etc, then you can mass produce protectors for those sights and have them in stock available for immediate sale. Plus your molder guy can make few in one set and, I would assume, give you a price break instead of making them to order.
