I've got a problem with my chronograph (xcortech 3200).

When I chrono my KA m4, i get consistent 380fps. But the problem is when i'm chrono-ing my tm hi-capa. the readings range from 50, 90, to 300. I have no idea why this is happening.

Also, I hear small pieces moving around inside the chronograph... im assuming they are crushed bbs inside.

Either something's wrong with the chrono or the hi-capa. The hi-capa is brand new though.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

mine has fragments as well.. you can try to shake them out.. as long as they don't come to rest on the sensors... but you'd be getting no reading at all if they were.

I have a slight issue with pistols as well. Try removing the silver nozzle cup and put the muzzle of the pistol directly against the chrono.

Put your chrony on a flat surface and put your gun at 4" of the hole. You are testing the cloud of gas that comes out.

Does the same with GBBRs

Had no issues with pistols, but you can't do it right at the muzzle like Kos-mos said.

Also, I have shattered many a BB into my chronie.

Yeah, we've had guns chrono in at 900+ FPS because it was measuring the expanding C02. Scared the shit out of some organizers.

I'm trying to open up the chronograph so I can remove the bb bits.

Found one screw in the battery compartment underneath the sticker... i took it out but still cant seem open up the chronograph.

Anyone had success in opening up the chrono (without damaging it lol)?

There are 4 screws hidden underneath the rubber stubs at the bottom.

I was changing the batteries in my chrono today and I shook out a small mountain of white powder and fragments. Pretty awesome. I can't wait till the day when I open up my BB catch box. There's probably 10s of 1000s of BBs in there.

You don't need to open it. Just keep shaking it - eventually the BB bits will fall out via the sensor slots.

I'm not the shaking type. 5 screws isnt all too bad. I just opened it up - was pretty easy.
