*NOW UPDATED SEPT 23* Looking for setup assistance.

SEE LATEST POST FOR NEW QUERIES

Hello gents.

Below is my current rig:

(Going to swap the Pmags to the left side and those GI mags where the Pmags were, I feed from left to right).

I have my pistol here:

(This is lacking the magazines in the open space as it was before my rig's current setup)

I'm looking to possibly move my pistol mags to a belt (Molle battle belt?) for a second line with an IFAK and Dump pouch, unless you guys can suggest a better use of molle-estate.

Thanks

-Evo

So much mags...

No comms?
No utility?

I'd def move the pistol mags on a belt, take off the left mag pouch and replace it by either a medical pouch (EI upright for exemple) or canteen pouch. I'd even remove the 4th mag pouch for a radio pouch.

Even when skirmishing I rarely go through 6 real-caps

My current config on my CB RRV (from left to right) is as follow:

Canteen pouch
3 single mag pouch
MBITR pouch
Medical upright pouch
Admin on the bib
Frag on the right shoulder strap

I'd go with a belt for the pistol mags. If your pistol still interfere with your second line, you could use a drop leg and have it ride as high as possible, so your pistol handle is flush with your belt.

OR

Use shingles mag pouches and strap your pistol mag pouch on them. Your keep it one your reaction/support hand side, so your rifle don't hang on them when you transition.

I love the Bill O'Reilly Quote. What a weird patch. Don't quite understand the other one.

OK, so I have decided to move my pistol mags to my belt and have re-arranged my primary mags and IFAK. Looking at a Battle/MOLLE belt (The TAG one looks decent and in stock).

Question: Can I use my serpa holster with the paddle mount with this belt or is the fabric too wide?

Huntingbuddy:
The other patch (SUPRISE COCK FAGS!) is from Team America: World Police

The fabric is probably too wide. I'd recommend using a drop leg or getting the MOLLE adapter for the serpa. I've got both and enjoy both setups for light gaming.

Received an ATS War Belt (very comfortable) and a TAG Riggers Belt (perhaps should have sprung for the suspenders as well)
from left -> right
2x pistol mags
2x Primary mags (might remove these to free up space for knife)
(most likely)dump pouch
Serpa + molle mount on right hip.

Going to have Primary mags on 2nd line on left, IFAK on far right, possibly radio to the left of the IFAK.

Pictures to come when everything is squared away.

Suggestions and Ideas welcome.

Sounds similar to what I plan on setting up, belt wise.
Swap the SERPA for a safariland (on either a single leg strap or the UBL).

Still using the RRV (is it?) as your 2nd line?
I'm looking for a split front chest rig that will fit me (30" waist, 36" chest).
Apparently the 2 piece MAV is too big.

Looking for a knife sheath for displayed Cold steel knife. A friend showed me the Blackwater Gear sheath that you can mount molle pouches on top of, but it looks discontinued. I would like to put it under the Medic pouch,or on the belt.
Any blade gear-dos out there?

Planning to put a radio pouch in that open space.

I have condor molle faced m4 mag pouches. The ones with the bungie on top of them. I have them stacked in a brick pattern on my vest. I then jam the knife between the pouches... Hold it nice and tight, but I can still get it out quick.

For example below. Where [==] is the Mag pouch and | is the knife. This is how you would look down on your setup and the **'s are where your chest is. The .'s are place holders so I don't break the internets.......

...[==][==][==]....
[==]|[==][==][==]
**************

Does that make sense?

What about stuffing it in beside your mags inside the pouch. Only problem with that is when you remove the mags....

What about behind your medic pouch....

I put my knife handle facing forward on my shoulder under the velcro. I have a Maritime CIRAS though, I can't tell if you have those shoulder pads or not.
