If you are not into tinkering on an expensive piece, you will like the KWA's. They have likley the most rugged stock mechbox out there. The performance is amazing, add a LIPO battery and you have a fire rate of over 25 bb's per second. All the KWA's are around 400 fps+ except fpr the new m4 battle rifle (440 fps+/-) and the m4cqb, just a hair over 375fps. Reliablility has been great. I have had only one mechbox failure reported on the ones I have sold. All the KWA M4's have a carry handle that can be removed to expose a Weaver rail, so adding optics is easy and cheap.

sorry for brining up a old thread, but I am just about to buy a gun and i have 2 in mind.

It will be either a KWA g36c on the mopic's website for around 535$~ + batteries.
or
G&G AK-47 wood / full metal in the classifieds for around ~700$

Unsure which is the better deal?

Note:I LIKE THEM BOTH just as equally just looking for the better deal
bang for buck.

KWA for sure, I think the rest of the boys will agree, unless the other one has a f*cking bulletproof mechbox.

the d-boys kalash ak74u is full metal and will probably perform pretty well stock, and its v3. ive heard d-boys aeg's are pretty decent but their aftermarket products are not so much. i have one of their black v3's here. it shoots in the 390 to 400 fps range, though ive never had it opened yet i dunno whats all really inside but it would need some metal bushings. it has a smooth sounding noise when fired though ive noticed that when i add metal bushings to a gearbox the sound becomes more high pitched

you guys are making me wish i had the money to buy one of these KWA's. i hate worrying about crap breaking and wearing out. but then hey tinkering, upgrading, customizing, modding, and fixing stuff is half the fun of airsoft

what about jg's latest v2's? didnt you do a review on the jg 416? my jg 416 seems to have some pretty nice internals minus the generic everyday stock piston and piston head

I second this. My son has a G&P M4 Marine and a G&P M16A3 both excellent AEGs.

Besides their marketing, there is nothing special about KWA AEGs. Their use of some non standard parts is a big negative as far as I am concerned.

G&P makes really nice aftermarket products also. i have so much G&P stuff that im really pleased with

and as for kwa these guys are saying their gearboxes are really tough, strong shooting, and wont need fixed and or fixed up. thats what interested me, not marketing

but does kwa make any aegs other than a g36, m4's, and some pistols? thats all i could find on ebay.
i already have 2 ak's, three m types, and 2 g36 variants in my house. if i ever get another aeg it wont be any more of those types

oh and to the starter of this thread... look up VFC ak's. the vfc ak's ive seen are very pretty
