Agreed. I've used AKs for the entire time I've played airsoft, and never even heard of this so-called problem with switching to semi-auto.

Pros:
- Solid design, no wobble (M4) or creaking (G36)
- Large battery in stock for all day gaming.
- Long barrel (longer than M4 at least).
- Large capacity mags (600 round hi-caps)
- Simple to operate
- Uses rock-solid v.3 mechbox with its own inherent bonuses
- Externally upgradeable to the exact same degree as an AR. There are at least 20 AK variants you can use as just a base model.
- Simple to strip down to the mechbox. I've torn them apart multiple times with just a screwdriver, at the field.

No cons, as far as I am concerned.

Cons: It's an AK. j/k

I went from a CA36K when I first started in airsoft. Sold it after barely a few months because I was lured by a cheap whore to an M4. After several pills, some ointments, and a cold shower later, I saw the light and bought a couple Star G36Cs.

It goes without saying that it is a funky looking gun. Then again, so is the AK. But, like what has already been said, the looks grown on you.

AND

I double wired it to front and rear.

Using a LayLax M4 stock adapter and a VLTOR stock.

You could also use a CRANE or even a full stock if you want.

AND

I could remove the AR stock and still use the G36 stock without problems.

AND

By doing so, I could quick swap the spring out of the gearbox by folding the stock WITHOUT TOOLS!

Star G36 series FTW! This will be my next gun.
2 Kos's don't make a right, but they sure make a great MBR LOL

So out of your experience which gun would be better the m4 or g36, I will be upgrading either one I get for a larger battery and better internals.
Thanks in advance Maehem
Well the way i see things is which gun do you like personally, if you look past all the upgrade mumbo jumbo, which is better and stuff like that, just pick the gun you think that looks cooler than the other, upgrades can come next i guesse

Yeah looks are great and I mean that whats the point of getting a gun if you hate how it looks and you never want to use it. Who cares if the g36 is a bit weird that's what makes it great its like Marilyn Monroe's mole. Now comes the bit more difficult part on which company to get it from.

Yeah, star is a good brand. I hear CA is good aswell, but you should replace the internals for more durability.

I owned both a TM G36c and a TM M4a1, I had a hard time picking between the two when I went to games. The M4a1 was upgraded to 400 fps though, and for bush I always used it. The mags were the big advantage until I got my G36c a mag well conversion after the mag well conversion my G36c all of a sudden became more useful and a lot more fun. It handled very well, just the mags wouldn't always fit tight, and they were a bit of a pain to do a quick change with, but nothing you couldn't get used to. It had an insane rate of fire though. If I had the money I'd just get both again lol.
