Chrony GUARDER G-SPEEDER-2000 vs X3200 Xcortech
Time for a new chrony. I'm tryin to decide between these two. They seem to be bout the same but the guarder cost a bit more.
GUARDER G-SPEEDER-2000 vs X3200 Xcortech Which one would you recommend? |

I was origionally looking at the guarder however the madbull i finanly chose because its very durable, extra options and very very easy to use. If you dont mind adding a third in to the comparison that would get my vote. I suggest making a side by side list, the 2008 guarder and the madbull do Rate of Fire which some people do find usefull. It's nice tohave the extra option. The mad bull is also made from 5mm thick metal case :| I thinkyou could drive over it, its that strong ( also uses a 9v battery, so no internal battery and allows for easy change overs) The main reason i went for the Madbull was the short depth of the unit. I've heard a few people damaging chronos because the gun was not a the right angle. The madbull has an optional cone flash hider with it that when you place you gun in to it, it allows you to hold it very level but the main point is still the depth of the uni - its very short meaning less chance of damaging it inthe long run. Hope this helps, i suggest putting all three side by side, Price, features, built material and seeing which ticks the most box's, then use peoples personal experience in here to get a full picture of each. Good luck! |

I'd recommend the Xcortech X3200 over the Guarder. The Xcortech offers a lot more options along with a better display.

In the future, you'd be safer if you didn't make claims like that if you didn't try it yourself. But if you did, feel free to show video of you driving over your chrony with your truck as well as the damage it caused. It would be interesting to see. I've used the Guarder SPEEDER-2000, '08, Xcortech X-3200 and Madbull chronies... of the three, Xcortech X-3200 and Madbull are neck and neck with very minor pros and cons over each other. I don't have much extensive use with the Mad Bull unit, but from the little use I've had, the performance with it (especially with ROF testing) is inconsistent. It misses shots at times for an unexplained reason (again, I haven't used it enough to figure out why.) Although the metal housing of the Madbull unit is nice, I picked the Xcortech X-3200 (over many other competitors as well, including the Xcortech X-3100, Satellite, Big Dragon E9600, FiDragon and Shooting Chrony - ALL of which I've tested) because of the awesome wealth of information it displays, the level of adjustability it provides and the consistency of performance that the Xcortech X-3200 provides. It gets my thumbs up.

I see that chrono you mentioned has the wealth of information and thats a nice amount, i'd be tempted by that as i like to know those things. One thing i like about the mad bull is its just easy and fast to test with. I guess its down to personal preference to an extent. Again as i said the drive over was just a figure of speach... People seem to miss that kinda thing alot here and flame wars start over it. Last edited by Marriott; July 22nd, 2008 at 19:17.. |
