Anything from Wal-Mart or Cdn Tire will pretty much be crap. It WILL break after a short time. However, with Canadian Tire and Wal Mart, you can get exchanges or refunds.

With other AEGs you'll buy from a retailer, you're on your own as soon as you take it out of the box and fire your first shot. Most will test fire the guns (particularly the Chinese-made ones) to ensure they work before shipping. Unless it got damaged in transit, there is no warranty. Since the manufacturer's warranties require you to ship it to the manufacturer out of the country, it will never make it back to you once repaired, ending up for destruction at Customs.

I wouldn't waste a cent on anything from there except perhaps that shotgun. It's apparently a pretty good performer, and with a coat of black paint, looks pretty damn good too. But since I don't like shotguns, I wouldn't buy one.

As mentioned, the only low-cost (sub-$200) gun worth getting in Canada is the Kraken. It's a great performer out of the box. It'll take a bit of internal work to make it into a really great gun, but for a noob gun, it's good.

But as mentioned, if you're 18, get age verified, and you'll have access to the classified section on this site with lots of great guns for sale at a good price.

Double Eagle make an AK with a clear receiver. I bought one last year and it's actually quite a decent gun in terms of shooting. I put near 20 000 rounds through it with no problems. It was quite accurate too, easily matching my TM M4 for both range and accuracy. However, the plastic is quite brittle... A small fall from about 15 inches snapped the stock off of it...

It's not that we think springers are crap. We think clearsoft guns are crap. Put it this way, would you pay $200 for a spring pistol? That's what I've seen TM springers sell for new from our retailers. A few years ago, I ordered a Well R16 (M4 model) springer rifle from the US as a wall hanger. If cost me $15 plus shipping (new). Our 'leading' airsoft retailer, 007, was selling that same spring gun for $225.

There are good springers out there. However, all we have access to is the spring shit from Walmart and another national chain store called Canadian Tire.

Alright, well, I'm working on getting age verified *nods*. I'm also greatful for all the tips and pointers, as i was originally rather(No..in fast, i was REALLY) disappointed. But i now see a bright light at the end of the tunnel, so there may still be hope for me .

Actually, trust me, the KWC is worth the price. Paint it black and I would honestly game it as a backup. I trust it implicitly. I've put around 5,000 rounds through it and can score 140+ out of 15 shots at 20 feet on a bullseye=10 target. Every time I have games it against other clearsofts including lpegs it has owned all the opposition. It has never misfed except for the early days when I short cocked it due to inexperience. I have dropped it onto a concrete warehouse floor more times than i can count. The plastic is super durable. Honestly, get one in your hands for $35from Walmart, you will see. I prefer it even over my NBB; the cocking action is so fast once practiced and the trigger responsiveness makes it easier to pull off accurate shots while running.

Every cent was well spent; you would not be wasting one.

KWC aren't bad. I've had a KWC Beretta 92FS springer pistol (not clear) for about 10 years now, and it kicks ass. It's not terribly powerful, but quite accurate and looks great. I like it.

yeah, it is a decent manufacturer. I was shocked to find something that eclipses everything else at wal-mart for quality.
