Box Mag - How to Build (not 56k)
loading 1652K, split between 5 images, please wait...
If you have any questions, please feel free to post/PM me and I will do up additional picture tutorials of the question asked. Special thanks to MadMax for pointing out THIS LINK (http://www.intrudershop.com/show_pro...idproduct=361). This is a re-submit of an old post that was over-written. Had a fellow ask how about box-mags and the thread link was toast. Enjoy! -Daes- |

That is really neat, well done project! I imagine its pretty light since you used wood and not metal? Whats the overall feel when carrying?

Sturdy. I did try one out of sheet steel but it was too thin and flexed. That and it dented when shot by BB's.
The wood is hardwood, solid, no flex, and minimum denting. Despite being made 1.5years ago, it is still running strong, and has had over 20k bb's fed through it (don't buy a used gun from me) :P Mind you I stopped playing with it once I realized that low/mid caps made for more of a fair game. Kind of cheap to sit there having 4000+rounds, pin people down, and just walk towards them... But hey, if you have a proper SAW, then this is the project for you (get an old ammobox and put the same mechanism set-up inside and you are good to go). |

good thing u made a decent voltage battery pack for the servo...i built a boxmag and it worked, but was powered by 4x AAs and really didnt give the servo much juice to wind the mag...and with a highly upgrade gun, shot way faster than it could wind. i found bursting is the best method of firing with this type of mag

Sorry for bringing up an ancient thread, but I found this on google.
Would it be possible to transfer the plans to a different type of gun? |

yes. only difference might be the mag size and fitting it differently in the boxmag itself. proportionally that is.
