I'd personally rather go with a CA for a G36, I prefer version 3 box over version 2.

But seriously, JG may be nice-pricewise... but on a G36, you'll want to invest in the best quality possible. Example... ABS (TM,JG) vs "Glass fiber" (CA), or Fiber glass reinforced with zinc (STAR).. I know for a fact that the ABS will crack first.

Indeed. I have a CA G36 and I love the build of the thing. Very, very solid. Had some minor electrical issues but nothing that couldn't be fixed.

Heh. My star had some electrical issues too. Nothing serious though. But, y'know what? I'd rather have that (easily) fixable problem, than a shitty body that needs to be replaced all together. I've seen soooo many cracked fronts. Really don't know why people choose "Toy marui" .

Well, if STAR has mislabeled their gearbox version, maybe as a loyal customer you should shoot them an email about it.

Isn't the v2 gearbox bigger than the v3? Would it fix in the G36 platform?

haha. I think it would. The G36 is a little fatter than the AR.

This situation isn't about the lack of research, it's the misinformation on the manufacturer's own website that is the problem.
