My Full metal AK

My beauty, my pride and joy, my one constant airsoft gun that I would never ever consider getting rid of. This AEG was a contributing factor in my last girlfriend dumping me. The current one loves it though, so no biggie eh. Anyway, on to the show!

All exterior work for now, internals are stock and the mechbox has never been opened.

Guarder AKM slant flash hider
King Arms wood kit
King Arms metal rear sight block
G&P metal body
Guarder ribbed reciever top
Unknown make AK-74 pistol grip

As far as I know there is no real-life equivilant to my baby, its unique. It was a work in progress for the last couple months with a bit here and a bit there. Internals are next with (maybe) a PDI 150 spring and some bushings.

Oh, and thats a real steel Kalashnikov bayonet I picked up at the local surplus store for waaaaaaaay too much. Doesn't fit properly either, I had it on there with electrical tape.

I hope you all enjoy.

Really nice, still have a thing for AK's even though I sold mine. Also I really don't recommend PDI springs at all. With the AK's barrel length if you stick in a Prometheus non-linear M110 spring, bearing spring guide, and full length tightbore you should get around 370-390fps with .20's. Prometheus springs are both more consistent (there are some huge variations between lengths of PDI springs and wire diameters) and give a more consistent fps. An AK has a 495mm inner barrel if memory serves, my G36 has a Prometheus M110 and a 510mm tightbore and because of the barrel length it chronies 388-390fps with .20's so you should get right around there too. Also note my fps ranges about 2, sometimes upwards of 4 or 5, PDI springs can sometimes range up to 10fps per shot.

One question,

Did you import it yourself with the only liability of writing the word 'Toy' on the box?

Looks great though!

There is a funny story behind that, Kid. My very first game was Stargate: First Strike last March at Flagraiders. My friend and I couldn't get a car for that weekend and so we had to take the Greyhound bus from Orillia to Cambridge with stops in Barrie and Union Station in Toronto. I was paranoid about my AK at the time so I wrote "TOY" on the box in big letters.

I wish importing things ourselves were that easy!

Pretty sweet gun. I have the love for the Ak as well.
I went a different way with mine. I have the steel body by G&P but I kept the mauri reciever top, but then I went with the OD raided forgrip and OD tail stock, and pistol grip. and then a G&P handle bar.

I went with a m100 illregular and I shoot about 340fps with stock barrel so you can easly hit 400fps with a tight bore and a m110 or even m120. BUt remember steel bushings are your friend and high speed gears, maybe even a hard piston for some extra fun.

Once again, NICE gun!

Alas I too am an AK whore. I had a TM AK and hat Manchovie trick it out. He's so good at it. ANY way I sold it cuz I was moving and I cried. Just recently I traded for the CA SLR 105 A1. Dead sexy!!!! Aside from the fact that you must change the piston.( it has already stripped)
Hey Saint How are things in Maple ridge? I have alot of family there. I grew up there. Is it still a shit whole waiting to be flushed. I believe the only reason it hasn't is because there hasn't been enough rain there, but the almighty has been workin on it.

Any way Lets here it for beautiful AK' every where!
