Not a fan of Glocks, but nice and to the point without too many gaudy gadgets.
Nice.

If I put the slide lock on, and then press it the slide moves very slowly into battery and occasionally stops completely. That is with both mag in and mag out. |

Odd. Guess you'll have to get someone to look at it in depth.
Try taking the recoil spring/guide out, and with no mag, move the slide by hand and try to locate whereabouts it feels like it's jamming. |

Okay I took the recoil spring out and moved the slide manually, it seems to stick right about here with the mag out:
For some reason when I took the spring out for the second time and tried to take better pictures, I could not get the slide to go on properly. So this picture is taken with the spring still in, but in the exact spot that it is sticking. It sticks with both the spring in and out. I also took pictures of the spring and the mag. Maybe you guys can see something I cant. Is there anybody in the Guelph area that wants to make a few bucks and take a look at this for me? I pay with money or beer I also want to refinish the slide, but I don't want to lose the markings. So I guess i'll stick with the scratched up finish. I'm assuming that the recoil is positioned correctly as it looks parallel with the frame of the Glock.
Check to see if your hammer is not hindering the slide returning to battery. Sometimes the hammer sear wears down, which causes the hammer to stick up above the hammer assembly, and it causes unnecessary friction with the chamber block under the slide.

Man, that IS beaten up bad!
Unfortunately these pics don't even say 10 words. You are right in going after a gunsmith to check it out. If you are willing, you can mail it to me (I have lots of references) in Ottawa, I'll do what I can with it, handwork everything I can, let you know what needs replacing. I have some parts leftover from my 'parts G19' so I might be able to cannabalize some stuff to save you from ordering overseas. |

Yeah it is beaten up really bad. But meh, I can't complain because of how dirty dirty cheap it was. |
