JT Proflex or Proto Switch
I am having a hard time deciding what mask to buy. Should I buy the Proflex or the Proto Switch?

The Proto is much heavier of a mask, but provides alot more protection. The proflex is much smaller, providing less protection, and is more designed for paintball as the 'flex' is added to keep paint from breaking on the mask. Unless weight is an issue, I would strongly reccomend the proto switch for airsoft unless anyone else has reasons not to.

Are you going to wear the full mask or just use the goggles part. If are you are going to do is use the goggles just get the spectra part since they all use the same goggle setup.

I got the pro-flex and cut off one of the cheek pieces in order to use the sights on the rifle. The pro-flex also allows you to remove the visor, the ear pieces, and the lower face proctection. Dunno how customizable the proto switch is though.

Yeah, I got the Proto Switch under the impression that you could remove the mask portion and just use the goggles. Big mistake on my part. On the other hand, it enforces face protection.

Hahaha The Saint is right, not a good mask if you want the goggles, but that doesn't mean it's a bad mask. Again, it a bit on the heavy side, which I don't even mind.

PS. I have the Switch FS and havent had fog issues. Just keep in mind that the Switch EL has a single lens, and WILL fog up. It is, however, cheaper but has a one piece, one-tone body. Double Lenses for the Switch cost about $35 Canadian and from what I know will fit in either model. Good Luck. |
