Who else tried IASUS throat mics?
I've had an old NT2 that was really good to me but they didn't make it in the motorola 2pin I needed so I had an adapter that ended up not working out well.
Went to a $25 motorola specific cheapo throat mic that worked alright as well. Then upgraded to an NT3 that was great until the white wire between the pods frayed and garbled everything Got an NT3 black ops, that worked alright until my GP68 failed, which caused a cascade of other failures over 3 radios and another throat mic. So despite having initially good success with them, I'd say my opinion of them is otherwise marred by having shitty radio failures. So they fixed the problem with the cable between the pods and now have it run through the silicone strap instead of nestled in it (which it never stayed). But I found the gen2 transponders were better at picking up my whispering than the gen3 transponders. I was going to pickup a GP3 for skidooing as well, can't see anything wrong with it for that purpose. I'm using a cheap helmet system now that has a mic, but I'd prefer a throat mic. What's everyone else's experience with them? |

Good question, I've been interested for awhile in this product. Having some good input from the community would be nice so I can decide if I want to invest in it.

I remember a time at cold front when a certain someone's lone radio took out our entire battalions comms who needs to get caught using a radio jammer when all you have to do is buy some poor fool on the opposing team a iasus throat mic as a "welcome" gift or better yet a Trojan horse gift.
Also numerous people that saw them on tears of the sun and that movie with Charlie Sheene in it came to our field with Em a d they were nothing but garbage unless you were clean shaven and had the sonic gel. So they're great for movie props, I'm just not convinced they're good for anything else other than that. Besides frank, your moving to Alberta where the standard is m3 sordins under protec bump with wuxon base. And a Jpc. I seriously expect you to have all that. No more of this "in Manitoba we do it a different way" lol

I had an NT2 years ago. It sucked. I sold it.
