Looking to buy airsoft... VFC/ ICS/ G&P/ G&G?
Hi
I am looking to purchase a HK416/M4 Stytle airsoft but can't decide which one to get. I have been looking at VFC, ICS, G&P, G&G brands. They all have their pros and cons, VFC: Solid internals (every one said so), fully licenced marking, reliable but $$ ICS: Nice battery design on crank stock, split gear box for easy access. G&P: Good reputation, TM parts compatible G&G: low price, common and easy to find parts. So here are my questions. Any other airsoft guns are TM parts compatible? Any airsoft guns that has the ICS design? Any parts I can mod to increase recoil? I wish I can afford a TM HK416 w/ recoil shock because it has really nice recoil action. Any input would be helpful. Thank you very much |

Internally speaking the VFC, G&G and G&P are TM compatible. The ISC is largely but not totally TM compatible because of the split gearbox.
If I were to rank them: 1)VFC 2)G&P 3)G&G 4)ICS. The G&G recoil system just makes noise, there is no felt recoil. edit: If you want recoil did you consider a WE 416 GBBR. Last edited by Kozzie; June 2nd, 2013 at 20:43.. |

Thank you for the input every one...
I did thought about GBBR however if I game with a GBBR it would be more challenging. I will pick up a GBBR some time just not this time.... |

VFC
I agree with that order of brands as well. GBBR's are fun but the mags are expensive and if you don't look after them properly they can be a nightmare!
If you want the 416 go VFC. I like the ICS M4 and the G&P M4's as well. |

Any other airsoft guns are TM parts compatible?
JG makes a 416 that is TM compatible. Generaly speaking I would rank JG lower than ICS for quality but I don't care for the ICS split gearbox so for me it would be a tie or a slight edge to JG. Any airsoft guns that has the ICS design? There are basically three different types of splitting gearbox systems. The ICS design which is only made by ICS and IMO the worst one. The WE Katana which is new to the market. It has many TM compatible internals and has a removable cylinder design similar to, but not compatible with a PTW. The Katana IMO has a lot of potential but it's still relatively unproven. They do not make a 416. WE "KATANA" M4 AEG - YouTube The Systema PTW design is generally regarded as the Ferrari of airsoft guns. It's copied by several companies of varying quality, most of which will cost you anywhere from $1,000-$3,000. A&K and the DTW are less expensive clones ranging in at around $400? but have generally poor reviews. Most PTW's are M4's, the only 416 PTW's are made by the high end companies and run $2,500-$3,000. **edit G&G is in the process of bringing their own split gearbox design to market. Any parts I can mod to increase recoil? No Last edited by Kozzie; June 4th, 2013 at 01:04.. |
