real gun grip on kjw 1911
hey guys, im new to the forums so i hope i have posted in the right place
i did a search but i didnt see anything. basically i wanted to add these gun grips to my kjw 1911, but im not sure about compatibility/ fitment. http://www.carboncreations.com/getpr...sp?p=4&s=1&b=1 anybody know if these would fit?? i wanted them in red this is what it looks like on http://www.carboncreations.com/ pretty cool eh? |

Yes, real 1911 grips will fit on a TM or KJW 1911 (might need slight modification or filing, not sure). Not sure about WE.

I tried that and the ones I had fitted without any problems. The only draw back is that there are steel plates under the grips to ad weight to the gun. I could not fit the RS grips with the weights, therefore the gun was lighter and not so well balanced. That may not be an issue for you.

I find them kind of pricy. Do a "pistol grip" search on e-bay. Good luck.

i did nothing NICE was CF
im pretty sure the kp 05 is a government model right? so would i get the normal or " squared " grip set? oh and yeah i agree definitely pricey, but soo sexy to me. |

A KP05 is a Hicapa and you cannot change the grip panels. With a Hicapa you can only change the entire grip. (For example I changed out my stock TM one for a Tanio Koba Tactical grip)
