Are G&G MP5s TM compatible?
I have a truckload worth of TM & CA parts stacked somewhere in my closet, and I want to build up a decent MP5 out of it.
Since I'm having a hard time finding a decent base gun (at a decent price) for upgrading purposes in the classifieds, I might just get one of those clear-bodied G&Gs and install one of the CA metal bodies (reciever & tube) I've got and swap the gearbox for a TM one, along with a few other goodies such as CA Hop unit, TM barrel and such... But before I go that way, I wanted to check if G&G AEGs, non-blowback versions, are 100% TM and/or CA compatible. Any help will be greatly appreciated

i dont think it will fit the CA metal body, just because the hop could be the same or not. You have another problem fitting in the metal tube that goes with the G&G's. If you plan to buy a G&G mp5 buy the full metal one' plus the piston head and piston sucks for G&G.

100%? no....
the TM/CA hop up doesn't fit in the body. basically the G&G body and foregrip are their own.. TM/CA compatible foregrips don't fit either... stocks, gearboxs, elecs, that kinda stuff are compatible. but you gotta use G&G body, foregrip, hop up housing... I went through this last year LOL

okay please don't mistake this as being jack ass like..
did you have to make the other G&G peices fit.. or did they fit?... if you had to modify them to fit .. then techinically they aren't compatible... which I'm not trying to make myself right, I just want the poster above to get the right info.. if I'm wrong.. so be it, aslong as the proper info is found in the end.
