Slightly off-topic, but does anyone make a full metal DE? I don't think I've ever seen one around.

You can still find Zeke kits, though as with any hobbyist type of company you need to snatch things up while they're still available. Creation also has a beautiful FMU DE kit but the USD price is already pretty staggering.
For the record, there's actually quite a bit of metal in the TM DE. While it may be all plastic externally, the slide rides on a metal sub-frame that's only evident once you've stripped the gun. EDIT: They pack quite a punch out of the box, too. Once upon a time I chronied 3 of them - all fairly new, all stock except for recoil springs (which have no bearing on the velocity). Using Guarder BBs (hadn't yet discovered Bastards) they all consistently chronied 340-350. Last edited by Endymion; June 4th, 2009 at 20:28.. |

I got mine from multikam for 260. The normal KWC hop up is easy to get to.
As for field stripping, KWC is like the real steel. Press button on side, slide release on other side to open position, barrel comes off pull trigger and slide comes off, done. |

When the KWC falls apart in your hands after a month of minimal shooting I'll be right here to say I told you so.

KWC have a reputation for basically falling apart after minimal use, and replacement parts aren't available as TM parts, if at all. As much as I'd like more metal on my gun, when I do get a Deagle, it will be a TM. Unless some other reputable company company like KSC / KWA starts making one.

The falling apart pushed me. Investing in the TM, heh.

TM is superior. While it will be more expensive to make it Full Metal, it will be worth it, as performance and reliability will be stellar.
