I could be wrong, but I always thought there was a black full length. Maybe its just the colour tone as the OD tends to look like black in alot of pictures.

+1. Use midcaps at least. With hicaps you're actually at a disadvantage because of the "rattling like maracas" thing.

People won't look down on you for the first few games but you don't want to be known as "that guy". But after that switch to midcaps or lowcaps, better yet real caps. I run 5 realcaps (30 rnd) and 5 lowcaps (68 rnd). I mix and match with whatever I feel like (maybe all 10 mags, 5 mids, 3 mids and 4 lows, 5 lows and 2 mids, etc.).

Really to get the experience, whenever you need to wind the hicap take the mag out of the gun and wind it, it's a lot more realistic than "tickling the mag" as you fire and putting down lots of sustained fire (I know I'm generalizing and other players can spray with mid and lowcaps as well but there is a correlation between hicap users and spraying "strings" of BB's everywhere).

*golf clap* best ....explanation...ever....not really.

Don't use high capacity magazines cause their not cool!

Not because they encourage overshoot and spraying or any other legitimate reason, but simply because high capacity magazines are uncool.

You get a gold star sticker for effort but I'm ripping 4 of the points off of it.

I just bought a new gun and got 3 mid caps right before my first game. I can tell you, I hate spinning that little wheel on the bottom of that high cap. I only have a high cap because it came with the gun. :X

I am not familiar with airsoft.

What my question is, does the element of surprise work on a typical airsoft match?

Yea I would eventually pick up all mid caps once I could afford it, I was more concerned about having a smaller gun though if they shoot the same. I don't know, this is almost as hard as guitar shopping. Drives me a little nuts -_-'

Discussion is drifting, but yeah, ONE high cap can be useful when you're testing your gun.

For the TM M14 fullsize-ness, it's seems unclear about the black one being full size. Is the OD one confirmed to be full sized? I'm 6'3", I want it big!

OD and faux wood is fullsize only, only the black is made in the socom length.

As for the mag discussion.
Use w/e mags you want man. Dont listen to them.
If you asked me for a recommendation, id tell you lowcaps without hesitation.

but dude, its your money, your gun. Do whatever you want.

Just.... dont stand near me when were doing silent ops. That incessant rattling...

Bolt cycles a bit too slow for my taste, the sound isnt as solid as the TM Clank. That and im not a WE Fan.

Im gonna wait for a WA/G&P version.

Why avoid the CA sportline series? To my knowledge these are their mid range guns? I am considering getting a Sportline CA mp5.
