just received mine from MACH1...less than 24 hours after buying it online...ultra fast shipping !
this AEG looks amazing, great attention to details, feels really solid, no wobble at all...only tested a few rounds to see if everything works fine.....shoots straight and looks as powerful as my other Marui M4s that are upgraded around 350 fps. can't wait for the game next saturday :-) |

Wow! Jesus thats fast, I only wish my one horse town did a saturday delivery! Truth is though that the horse is needed by the police department on weekends cuz the dogs have to guard the dog sled, which is at the pub with the drunk sheriff :P

As far as I know it has a crane stock and will take crane stock batteries. I'm not familiar enough with the setup so I may be wrong but it may accept a nunchuck battery.

It takes nunchaku style batteries in the crane stock. If you look in the box of my VFC SOPMOD in the video below you will see my blue 9.6V NiMh that I ordered with the gun from Mach1

Sorry guys, this is the only post related to my question and my info I wish to contribute.
I am planning to get a VFC AEG as well. I have looked at the Mach1 website and the VFC guns, I am not sure if they are the E-series or the D-series and its getting kind of confusing. I visited the official VFC website here : http://www.gb-tech.com.tw/newsite/pr...M4%20and%20M16 take a look at the selections under "AEG". There's the "ES" for E-Series I assume and the "DS" for D-Series.(Please correct me if I am wrong) So here's where the part I found confusing... On March1, the SOPMOD M4 listed under the D-Series. Which, under my research and videos from Airsoft G.I., SHOULD be a better line in the VFCs. As per many videos and review of the E-series on Airsoft G.I., the E-Series is suppose to be the "more affordable" series while keeping the VFC quality. So, to actually make profit, I am assuming the parts from the E-Series are not as good as the D-Series. Also the picture on the official VFC website has a red-dot sight on it. Even if sans the red-dot, the rare sight on the gun is different. There are no other "SOPMOD" models from the VFC website other then this one under the DS-M4 and M16 section... Also, the "SR16E3 10.5 inch" is under the DS section as well as "SR16 E3 IWS 10.5 inch" SO.... It does seem like the VFC M4 QUAKE is in the E-Series. I checked on this with a local retailer. I was advised that the internals are all the same for all 3 of these guns - just the externals. Can anyone verify this or have any info? |

They may have changed the rear sight for the 2011 Sopmods who knows and yes it doesnt come with a red dot sight, ive ran a Sopmod for a year now and a buddy has run the Sr16 both identical internals and definitaly high quality.
When researching these rifles a year ago there was very confusing and contradicting info, grab a VFC from a local dealer youl be getting a great product internaly and externaly not one failure or even external scratches with regular play |

Resurrecting this topic.
I narrowed my choice down to this and KWA SR10 2GX. At least two Canadian retailers have this in stock right now. KWA on the other hand is hard to find and I would probably have to bring one from States. Any opinions? How reliable they proved so far? And I'm still running under an assumption that this is VFC's E-series. But if compared to the pictures on VFC website, it look's exactly like Colt M4 RIS (STD) which I understand is D-Series. Could be wrong here though. UPDATE: Just called Mach1. This is 100% D series. Last edited by Taxt; March 28th, 2012 at 15:55.. |

Avalon is harder to distinguish but Avalon is still OEM VFC just their externals are a lot better but yeah whether its E or D series i think they all run the same gearbox but yeah VFC is one of the best high end manufacturers out there on the market

So, VFC may be marginally easier to get spare parts for (from any shop here in Canada). Personally... I'd go with the VFC. Or as of late, King Arms :P

Better yet, go for a Socom Gear. They are rather hard to find, but you get realistic trademarks and some pretty awesome rail systems.
