If anything else other than an AEG would be considered a secondary, I regularly carry a G19, MK23 GBB, and M24 sniper rifle. I might carry a MK23 springer as well as my GBB MK23, very occasionally add in my M11 in my butt pack as a SHTF backup if one of my GBBs isn't working up to trustworthy standards like both my G19s are now, but just bought a second full metal MK23 GBB).

I run a M9 on the belt or dropleg (set higher on the thigh), and depending on scenarios and terrain, a shotgun in a back molle holster. and a knife.
If all else fail, well, I always carry a choice selection of curses and harsh language in a back part of what passes for my brain. |

I think the idea is SILLY.
You can be much more effective with more mags, preferably for the primary, or if you want for the secondary. For my secondary (A Hicapa 5.1), I carry 3x 31 round mags, and 3x 50 round mags. |

why? drawing a new loaded secondary is faster than reloading, especially if you draw with your off hand.
I'm setup so that if I'm carrying 4 pistols, I can draw one at a time alternating sides while also reholstering the pistol with the spent mags. |

Depends on what kind of setup you've got going on, and what pouch(es) and what holster(s). Reloading can be as fast as drawing a new pistol.

The same can be said for a new mag

hows that? do you drop your mags onto the ground?
a new mag implies a moment when the empty mags is removed, new one inserted and releasing the slide. I know for fact that I'm shooting that first round on a new pistol before you hit the mag release. |

Veeeery interesting...
but stupid.
I'm sure it's fun and all... ( actually I know it's fun ) but it's not really an efficient use of space and resources.. In the weight and space of a 2nd side arm I can carry 3 or 4 fresh mags. As long as I reload before I am out of ammo .. I can do so without missing a beat. running a fresh mag from a loaded chamber.. no stop to drop the slide. So it depends ..if the goal is to rock some pistols and have some fun I'm with you 100% more guns = more fun If the plan is to run an efficient and effective loadout ... Mutiple pistols does not make a lot of sense.

Hrrm.. The only bonus I can see to carrying more than one pistol is if your pistols aren't reliable...
Other than that.. +1 to more mags instead.. Takes up less room, weight, and is much more efficient. |
