Yeah, that's the down side. Those Type N batteries are a bit harder to come by than AA. I like my 552 replicas for that. However, the real deal holosight is SOOOO nice.

Batteries for the bushnell are very easy to find. They are standard camera batteries, goto London drugs 4.99 for 2 pack energizer brand.

N-Type are easy to find, but not as easy as AA. You can walk into any corner store and pick up AA if need be. N-type will require Cdn Tire, some drug stores, camera shops, etc.

And why buy a Eotech in USA if you can get them over here?!?!

511, 512, 551 and 552 have been flowing into Canada relatively unimpeded. They are quite easy to get. 553, 555, 557 have not been authorized for export to us, so any that come available are outside legal channels.
If you have bought a 553 for example, and needed to send it back to EoTech for service, forget it. It won't be returned to you (and some unfortunate souls have found this out the hard way). A real EoTech is so much nicer than any clone, but ensure you have proper protection for your lense. Last thing you want is to have it shot out, even though replacements can be bought on E-bay.

Real EOTECH is like $500+ range.
but why do you want a RS Eotech? I doubt many guns fire accurate and consistent enough to actually use it to the fullest ability. |

Take a real EoTech and a clone side by side, turn them on, then look in the sights from the front. Real one has no leakage of light, clones do. At night time, or in low light, you can spot the clone very easily, and it becomes a problem of light discipline for the user. Look at a real EoTech through a 3X. The real one has a much sharper reticle than any clone when magnified.

The real ones are that much nicer, even compared to a Hurricane. Too bad they're locked behind the US curtain.
