KWA M4a1 Full Metal or ICS M4a1 Full Metal?

KWA for sure, but do replace the hop up unit right away, preferably with Tm 2 piece+ Strike Chamber = win

I'm all behind my ICS M4. It's a beauty. It's licensed by Olympic Arms, the trades are very nice and you have a fucking plethora of things you can do with it. I've had no problem finding a second upper mechbox nor have I had any problems finding another hopup unit. It has a nice FET on it, shoots 360fps with the first mechbox and second shoots 340fps. I'm putting a 11.1v li-po in the buffer tube and won't have any trouble buying an upper receiver to have two separate systems. Yeah the color is a bit too pale vs flat black but it still looks so much better than those ugly fucking trades the KWA has.

If it wasn't for the trades I might have had considered a KWA. Now that I have an ICS, I will never consider a KWA. If I ever buy another Armalite, it will be a STAR one.

Had a Ics-m4a1 best gun i ever own. I chose the kwa because of the price, mopic was selling them and the fact that i dont plan to open the mechbox for a while... the cqb shoot at +/-350fps which is all i need.

Personnaly i dont really care about the trades as i always paint my guns... black is to obvious in any environment...

Anyone used the g&g mags with the KWA?

Yeah I have to agree with you ShaKaL, if you don't care about the trades and if you want something with a low price and good availability then yes, go with the KWA.

Besides the few used ones, it's quite hard to find an ICS when compared to the fuck-load of KWA Mopic brings in

I just got my KWA KM4A1 last week, It fired well with the KWA hi-cap magazine and G&G hi-cap magazine. You have to be careful. I test lots of magazine, the best one is G&G, it feeds the gun very well but other magazine if feed very well too just with only a few drop of silicone oil in the hop up. Your gun will rock. Don't forget to drop to drop silicone oil before using another kind of magazine like KA, D-boy, TM. If not, the BBs will drop like 10 or 15 inch from your gun.

Which lowcap mags are better for the kwa?

King arm, g&g, Mauri, star realcaps etc??? Anyone had problems with them? feeding, tightness etc???

There's a couple ICS M4A1s in the classifieds but I have to agree that for the price of a brand new KWA that it wins out. If you ask some of the retailers I'm sure they could bring in an ICS for around the same price. What makes the ICS great is the split-gearbox design but if you don't plan on using that to your advantage there's few other reasons to choose it over the KWA. This is all coming from a proud ICS M4A1 owner.

I do have KA Mid-cap and it's working very good after take out the hop up put some silicone oil and put it back. Maybe it doesn't work for you but it works for me.

KWA for sure. I like ICS but the internals on the KWA are outstanding. An 11.1 lipo will destroy 90% of the mechboxes out there. The KWA, handles it with ease. I have sold over 50 KWA's and had only one failure, a bad motor. No issues at all with mechbox or other internals. My ultimate gun would be a KWA with some colt trades on it.

Well,kinda a loaded question.I'v had my ICS for almost 4 years now in an up-graded state with no big problems.As for hard to get parts,alittle! But there are not many to worrie about,you can convert to a normal hop-up by mod'ing a normal one witch only leves the anti-reverse lever and mech-box shells.I have regular Systema gears and a few of my uppers have regular pistons,springs,guides,tappets.As for how stong,well I'v rolled on top of mine durring a game and it's still going lol.
Another thing I guess would be the cost of Mag's,from what I'v seen the KWA's are alot more for them at the moment.Not sure if thats an issue for you as any one else that has a PTW will tell you that it's not that big of a deal as once you have them you have them right! Sorry for the long post! Just my opinion,I'm all for the ICS,good luck with whatever you go with

You guys mentioned something about KA mid-caps not working and not working. Would the non-working ones be the 68R magazines by any chance?

Hi ! Mopic, you should say that you have two failure lol include me because my KWA mechbox has just broken the Spur gear by rip one piece of gear out one day before vocation.
