Here is a product review I found online:
This is an outstanding product from MadBull. Ordered it looking to add a bit of LCF to the M4 and I wasn't disappointed. Physically this is a very well produced replica, with very nice trades on it and a quality finish. When it comes to the "sound adjustable" part, this item is worth it's weight in gold. It won't make your airsoft rifle sound like the real thing, but it does add a nice "thwack" sound, and letting off a burst in full auto is really the only way to experience the effect.Date Added: 07/06/2007 by Josh Reashore http://www.airsoftparts.ca

The Madbull Noveske KX3 is the one to get. The other guys dont have the option to dampen the pop, nor can you get the metal thuak! this is because they have only one stationary cone on their's. Plus the Madbul's all aluminum body is much better because it is lighter... they also has ever changeing serial numbers just like the real one's. One more thing is it also has the notches set vertical as they should be. All of the other guys are inaccurete and sub-par compared to the look, accueracy and functionality of the Madbull KX3. Have fun with em' guys
EDIT: I need to sleep so that paragraph may be a lil hard to read...

Wouldn't people *want* the steel version for the realistic weight though? Well... actually, I guess that depends on the player. I can see why someone would want a lighter front end...

Lighter accessories are always good. Now the actual weapon it self I think should be as realisticly weighted as you can get it. I just like the Madbull version for too many reasons.

I have access to the Mad Bull, Hurricane, King Arms and Proud versions of the Noveske KX3, but with the Mad Bull one costing less than all of the other brands, I see no compelling reason whatsoever to want to get any of the other brands. If I had the funds, I'd like to buy them all to test with microphones by the shooter and downrange to test sound differences... but again, with the Madbull one costing less than the others, I see no compelling reason to even bother with the test as nobody will want to buy the test products off me after the comparison/review...

But it'd be intresting to hear how it compares to the other brands.

Oh we do hate you, just never felt like wasting the time to give you a user title :P

next I adjested the cones so that the holes are fully lined up in the "open position" (according to the site this is the loudest setting).
this would be not so loud it would act like the muffler on your car where as if it wer a cone it would aplefy it a bit I think thats what you are doing wrong

Well, besides the good price, the MadBull one is actually licensed by Noveske. Personally I believe in supporting these companies if they bother putting out (or licensing someone to put out ~) less expensive airsoft versions of their products. Plus, as HK-Guy mentioned, these are designed like the real thing and have unique serial numbers to boot, which is kinda cool in itself.
I would have liked steel, but as is apparent with a lot of their products (such as their AGX EGLM) they seem to not be offering much resistance to America pressure (BATF ?) to make these items out of lighter aluminum so they can't somehow be used on real firearms. Suppose it might have to do with licensing, too... seeing as how the products are cheaper than their real steel counterparts. I picked up one of their DNTC compensators... really nice, down to the little Primary Weapons logo (I noticed the "aggressive" version has the wrong logo though, it should actually have the Rainier Arms tag) Quote:
I'll be getting the 10.25" barrel for my CQC gun most likely this week or early next week, which is the intended recipient of the KX3, so I'll be able to do better tests then.
