How much sand CAN you fit in your vagina!?
|
Like Thunder Cactus said start with a good hop up rubber. It's a good idea to get a good hopup assembly as well. They are one of the cheaper pieces you can buy. It'll help with seal and barrel wobble. Then work backwards into your air nozzle piston, the down towards reinforcing the gear box. Get yourself a solid motor, and a good battery to turn it. Once your internals are solid and reliable look to your spring and barrel. Tightbore won't always help. If you BB's are stable and straight don't change your barrel. Increase your spring to aim for 390 - 400 FPS with 0.2's, but run 0.28's in game. Always use a good qualty BB always.
But a big thing you could do is buy a "reliable out of the box", weapon to begin with. Classic Army, King Arms, ...etc. This way you can take your time and upgrade as you want. By the time you fully upgrade a cheaper gun you will end up spending as much or more anyways. And your gun won't break down on you often with a better quality starter.

I can't even get 1.5inch groupings at 150 feet with a standard pellet rifle (nothing fancy just a Daisy .177)... And is that 3 mags from hicaps (~1200BB's) or 3 midcap mags (~350 BB's)? @ Ricochet, you should qualify that with Classic Army PROLINE not the Gameface/Sportline crap.

Downgrade the spring and while you're at it, replace the piston and do a general maintenance check on it (shim, grease, AoE, compression). I have a non-E-series VFC and the piston on it is useable but not fantastic for high power. The other bases have already been covered. I've had great success with an R-hop, Madbull barrel, and Modify hop-up chamber. Last edited by Stealth; February 27th, 2012 at 14:17.. |

It's not uncommon for guns shooting 420-470 stock due to our laws. But yes, you'll have better luck if you downgrade your spring first.

I never said anything about upgrading the spring, i know it alrdy shoots too hot. I'll be installing the replacement spring that came with it once I do work on the mechbox. I was just more concerned about compression upgrades/ brand compatibility
