Best lumen for the buck?

Hi,

What would be the best lumen for the buck for a flashing to be mounted on a airsoft rifle? Model with a pressure switch.

I have a Fenix, but the big issue I have is NO pressure switch available (yet).

What would be the key is the highest value for the ratio of lumen / price.

Thanks

Huangs, anything over 200 lumens are great, especially LED.

Visit dstactical.com and look for their PENTAGON L3 handheld light. It puts out 135 lumens, plus it an RS light. It is on sale rightnow for $98. It does not come with mount ring of pressure switch though. PENTAGONS I find are simple and comparable to SUREFIRE. THe best part is, they significantly cost less.

Surefire is grossly overpriced and over rated............ is why I bought a G2Z CombatLight two weeks ago to replace my lost G2. Lol, still, 85 lumens from an LED is very bright, so I don't see a requirement for anything over 120 lumens................. unless you are wanting to heat up your lunch.

I got a flash light which is very cheap and look over kill than surefire also the after market LED bulb make for surfire can be exchange also it's 280 LED Lumen so it's bright enough to clear out the room and it worst about 50 $ shipped with the LED light bulb. Hope it help.

Edit : forget that light bulb is water proof, I already try to use under shower and it's still work.

I got one of the Huand surefire replica, supposed to be 200 lumens. They are barely 60 lumens IMO.

I'd recommend a Surefire G2 with a replica pressure pad made by some airsoft gadjet manufacturer...

For CQB, you don't really need more than 60 lumens. It's the minimum lumens rating for a tactical light. Beyond that, it's for incapacitating.

here is the flash light that I got, it comes with mount and pressure pad, just need to LED bulb then you are good to go with 280 LUMENS flash light. The name of that flash light is HUGSBY S3

and here is the LED bulb, http://cgi.ebay.ca/285-lumens-CREE-R...742.m153.l1262

You can buy a better driver for Huang's light, probably swap the emitter too, mine was a CREE P4, I'm replacing that with a Q2 bin, which should have a noticable difference.

Around 250 lumens can cause temporary or permanent eye damage like powerful lasers. Really not a good idea to go that high up.

I have a 120 lumen G&P that is as solid as a rock and has been dropped, smacked, and bashed against concrete many times and is still going strong. I change the batteries 1-2 times a year and I use it around the house on a regular basis (looking for dropped mechbox trigger springs under my desk for example.)

I have a 220 lumen G&P on my gun with a pressure switch and its stupid bright. Its so bright its actually useless at anything less than 10' since its so bright all you can see is massive glare.

My recommendation is the G&P 6P with CREE LED bulb assembly or G&P 9P with standard bulb. Both are about the same brightness but the CREE bulb lasts longer and doesn't use as much battery. A CREE bulb on a 9P is the 220 lumen one I have on my M4.

What about the beam effect, 220 lumens with a light saber effect, are all light equal?

I'm in the process of finding some one/learning how to make my own flashlights...

There a chance I'll start carrying "Amos Airsoft" flashlights, they'll cheap (sub 50 dollars) and bright (80 lumens minimum)

Now I just need to find a place that will make / carries something like that

Focus beam, like a tube of light (rather then spread). A good tight ''light'' grouping we could say lol Like a laser somewhat.
