Jing Gong AK-47

Is there any reviews on this gun?

I cant find any, im looking at buying one just so I can add a AK to my collection witout shelling out 600$

At 275$ on buyairsoft.ca with 2 hi caps and 2 batterys and 350 fps looks like a pretty good deal if they are like other Jing Gong products I heared of so far.

A friend of mine just got one from that website. I assume it's the same one you are asking about. Price is the same and box doesn't have brand name on it. Anyway, gun wasn't working out of the box. Nozzle was stuck on cylinder head and needed to be replaced. Spring guide snapped off after about a mag worth of bb's. Wiring is terrible. Wires heat up even when gun is fired without a spring or piston inside. Gears are also poorly shimmed. I replaced nozzle and spring guide but haven't had time to work on shimming, so there was no field test yet. All parts are exact copy of TM but this gun is not even close to a TM when it comes to performance out of the box. It might be possible to get it up and running but I don't think it's worth all the labour and time.

Hmm, that doesn't sound like what I've seen/heard of the JG guns. You sure it was a JG one and not a CYMA?

kalnaren, pawscal, there is absolutely no trades on gun or the box. I'm pretty sure Cyma has CM and numbers on their guns. Cyma mechbox also has CM on it, this one doesn't have anything. Looks like a standard V3 TM box with no markings and with all plastic parts white, not black like in TM.
Like I said before, price sounds right and gun came with mags, changer and one battery (1050Mah IIRC). Also, I found something really strange in the manual. All Soviet insignia that soldier has on him was replaced with US eagles.

ok ok, its the crappy PGB ak he got. That's another story.... He should have got the MGB one.

edit : i may misunderstand what you mean by white plastic part, is all the mechbox is in plastic or only the bushing?

Than you guys can disregard my previous posts. I don't buy anything but TM or CA, so I have no clue how to identify low end AEGs.

I think the JG boxes though are quite colourful and make it somewhat obvious that it's JG. I think what Naerah said about the PGB version is probably accurate, though like 666, my only 2 guns are TM and CA.. I've never seen a box for a JG and the JG36 I saw I didn't inspect the trades on or anything (I was more interested in the build quality)

Would you guys mind clarifying what you mean by PGB vs MGB? I'm looking into the BAR10 by JG and would like to know what I'm getting myself into.

Plastic Gear Box vs. Metel Gear Box. Plastic gearboxes are crap and break after anywhere from 10-100 shots and are pretty much impossible to replace or repair, and are a 100% complete waist of money. Metel gearboxes are much much better and can usually be replaced and/or repaired and upgraded, etc.

Some of the guns on buyairsoft have PGB, noted as "ABS Gearbox" in the description.
