G&G Gearbox Recall, anyone get it done?

I sent an email to X company about it, paid the shipping, and they sent me a empty gearbox shell.. I was under the impression that the replacement would be an entire gearbox.

Anyone else get a new gearbox? If so did you get just the shell or a complete gearbox?


I emailed the company about this a few days ago, an again today. No reply yet..

there's some g&g's floating around up north of you, mike. i'll let you know what they get (supposed to be next week sometime from what they tell me).

I went and picked mine up in Calgary it is just the shell.

that's got to be the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard of. the problems with g&g go far beyond the shell and affect ALL the internals as well. it's like buying a lemon of a car and having it recalled so the dealer can put on new tires. a question for the guys at "airsoft alliance", what's the point of this whole recall program anyway? i think, if anything, g&g didn't make any friends with just an empty mechbox shell.
