Bought a VFC!

We'll I haven't been playing even 6 months yet but I have already bought 4 rifles and 2 pistols. Basically because I didn't do my research I ended up spending a lot more than I thought I would have to.

So, I bought myself a VFC Scar-H Mark 17. I've yet to use it on the field but just shooting it in my basement and the feel of it have pretty much sold me on never buying anything else but VFC. There is a few minor things that I don't really care for though, like how the charging handle wobbles a bit , the fact that it only takes certain mags , battery compartment could be bigger and also not having the trademarks of FN . Which I figured it would have but I guess I got the older version. Oh also the ambidextrous fire selector will eventually not follow the other side. (Watched plenty of videos about pros/cons. Pros outweigh the cons by a whole lot , I feel at least).

Other than those few little things I am super happy about this thing.

Soooooo what's your question? lol
Have you looked into LiPo batteries? They're most useful in applications where you have limited battery space

Wasn't really asking a question but, now that you mention it. Is this gun LiPo ready ? I was thinking about just putting a 7.4 small battery but I'm not too sure on the internals and if they can handle it out of the box.

Any gun can take a 7.4v lipo. "lipo ready" is just a gimmick.... any gun needs work before you try and stick an 11.1 in it (Ok, well MOST do).

As long as it's not a crazy C/amp rating it will be fine.

not that it matters, you can run any AEG off a 7.4v 40C 4000mah battery. If the motor only wants to draw 6A, then it will only draw 6A.

Seems like the wiring in this gun is pretty low quality. Thin wires jammed in the stock. I have a soldering gun and all that jazz obviously . I wonder how thick i could go . Also, this charging handle ... I wish they didn't try to include things that look real but wobble like CRAZY! Not sure what I'm going to do about that either. Any suggestions ?

shim it, velcro tape if you have the room, otherwise something else
you can usually fit 16g wire in, but high end 18g silver coated copper will be more than enough

Sounds more like you have an old AEG that's been ratfucked.

Are you talking about that little black knob? It's always like that in my VFC scar-L mainly for easy takedown and switching from left to right. If that really bothers you that much, wrap a bit of electrical tape around the end that goes into the carrier. As for batteries, I just stick with7.4v buffer tube lipo batteries and switch the connectors with deans if that helps. I even just snipped the wires shorter and pretty much got rid of the fuse since that will take up quite a bit of space in such an already confined area. Magazine wise, you can always mod the magwell to accept 7.52 pmags which is a common mod among scar-H owners.

To go thicker than 18ga in VFC mechboxes you have to dremel the shell a bit. There are little prongs sticking out from the right half that hold the stock wiring in place. Its pretty simple to do.

Well I played with it on monday and it was really nice. One thing though, when I was spamming bb's on semi auto the trigger would just lock and i'd have to switch to auto , shoot then flip it back to semi ? Was it double feeding because the bolt didnt go back before I pulled the trigger again ?

Danke. I don't care for comments like that. If you're saying I bought a bad gun just say it.

most likely your sector gear just ended it's cycle on the cutoff lever, when you're shooting semi make sure the mechbox actually finishes it's cycle before you hit the trigger again, otherwise you could risk pre-engaging the piston and stripping it.
