serpa holster for 4.3 hi capa
Does anyone know where I can find a serpa type holster that will fit a TM 4.3 hi cappa? I tried my friends 1911 serpa and the square shape of the lower frame keeps it from going all the way in, might fit a 5.1 hi cappa though. Would prefer a serpa but any rigid type holster would work, the soft universal holster I have keeps ejecting my mags mid game
Thanks |

The Blackhawk SERPA Lv2 holsters will fit a TM 5.1 or 4.3 with one of two mods:
1. Replace the grip with a KJW Tanio Koba grip. This will run you between $40 and $70 depending on where you source it. The replacement grip gives you the right rounded trigger-guard so it locks in perfectly. I've done this mod on two different guns -- it's a fairly easy project for someone new to taking their guns apart. This is what the Tanio Koba grip looks like: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_inf...oducts_id=4387 Teardown guides: YouTube - Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa Disassembly http://airsoft-barracks.com/site/ind...hicapa-takedow The YouTube link is Illusion's TM teardown video -- he was very helpful when I did my first grip replacement (I also bought the grip from him). You'll find him on the forums here. 2. Use a Dremel or other tool to file down the trigger guard and/or the serpa holster to make it lock into place. There are several accounts on the forums of people doing this, though I've never seen it done.

I have modded the trigger guard to fit a serpa holster before, you don't need much tools to do it, hell I did it with a lighter, a gerber, and some sandpaper. (not kidding here) All you need to do is cut off the straight corner and round it out till it fits

A 5.1 fits a 1911 Serpa fine. (I use one for a 5.1) |

The hi-capas (4.3 and 5.1) have a squared-off trigger guard. I had a 4.3 dual stainless and a 5.1 stainless. Both did not fit in my SERPA 1911 until I replaced the grip.

You can also modify the inside of the holster. Doesn't take much.

Yep. I mentioned that above, but I'd never seen it done so I couldn't say for sure if it would work.

It would be awesome if someone would post pics and link to the TM sticky thread. If I had been able to see how to do it, I would have been willing to try it.
