Good thing to remember is vanilla milsim is about empowerment: combat at range, awesome guns, lots of ammo, committed teams. Post apoc games are about survival: low ammo, don’t trust anybody, fighting is up close and ugly.

A revamped version of 'Long Winter' called 'Neverending Cold' has been announced, at the PRZ for the end of the month:

whisper_kill any idea where, generally, the game would be hosted? Outside Oshawa? GTA? Cornwall? Nunavut?

Unless date changes in the future I cannot 100% confirm at this point. Brian McIlmoyle is hosting our annual, full immersion 3 day WW2 event on September 18th-20th.

First and foremost, I will be happy to attend a game like that and might bring a friend or 2 from larp community for NPC roles.
Moreover, I am willing to spend some time building some props for a game like that. Specifically I cold try and build couple of under 20 pound crossbows with SAFE arrows for the tribe team.
Lastly, I wanted to try my hand in leather working (bracers, shoulder pads, leggings and belts). Obviously first attempts would look crappy, which should fit nicely this games theme. All I ask in return is $5-$10 for materials and tools.

Hey everyone, sorry for radio silence. I've been very busy planning a live-action fan convention in Oshawa for November. This year our theme is post-apocalyptic, titled "Hell on Earth". I'm looking for SOLID, non-flaking people who can commit for LARP roles, fully immersed and dependable. Your own costume would be ideal. I'm putting together the planning documentation now.
