Get a sunshade, they are only about $10-15.
I like that straws idea, time to take some straws from work tomorrow. |

My scope already has a 76mm (3") sunshade. I want a kill flash so that no one can see the glare that may reflect off the lens.

Like I said, you really only need about a half inch slice of straw honeycomb to fit inside your scope right in front of the objective lense, nothing will stick out and it won't come out unless you want it to. Sunshades are cool, but unfortunately yo uhave to get the shade that will fit your scope, not all scopes vs. shades are made the same. I have a sunshade on one of my sniper rifles and it's cool, but not sure if it works 100% and as far as I know, they only reduce the amount of light coming into the scope, they might still reflect some, and sunshades don't work well in lowlight or at night, so a honeycomb shold work well against base spotlights and such.

Thanks again for all the info CDN. I'm going to try using the skewers. I'll let you know how I made out. I'll let you know on the results of the tuna can test.

The skewers you talk about, are they hollow? Because I doubt they'd work. At least with straws you can see through the clump really easily with minimum interferance. Skewers on the other hand.......... are solid and not exactly sure how you'd go about making it work.

I think there might be some confusion, the setup Stalker is talking about involves cutting a cross-section out of the straws, something like this:
Not placing them vertically and looking in between them. Hopefully this clears it up, if that's not the confusion, then I apologize, I just skimmed the thread and I've wasted 5 minutes making that pic for nothing

By the way if you didnt manage to find how the pcs works a picture worths a thousand words...
Just unscew the allen nut higlighted in red circle and voila! As for velocity, with pcs fully off and propane, I hit the 550 fps with .30g but my M24 is fully upgraded with all the goodies G&G as to offer including the freeflot tightbore barrel, and as for PCS, G&G are making a bolt for it with pcs so screw japan's law, tawain all the way baby. I got a short mag and as for capacity its a good 50-60 shot so I figured out the AICW should be around 100.

LOL! I agree with you on that one Joe....however I already promised him when he finds out the FPS it's shooting at I will let him shoot me in the ass from across the back yard, (cringing and tightening my butt cheeks) Don't know if that is a smart choice or not, but I will let you know. Already asked my brother if I can borrow the plates out of his bullet proof vest and stick them down the back of my pants. LOL!
