Star G36k < all.
No seriously, it's one of the nicest built guns EVER. V3 is indestructible (almost), and it has a REALLY high ROF. Armalite varients (PTW excluded) usually need alot of $$ to stay reliable. But then you have the Pro-Win boxes... It REALLY boils down to personal pref. I like the ARs ergonomics better, but I like the G36's ability to be awesome out of the box.... I also HATE the conversion kits as I'm left handed, and they designed the unit terribly. You're probably thinking of the G3, which came from the CETME M.58, IIRC. Actually, I think it was the MP5, since I was even more batshit crazy about that gun a few years ago then I was now. I know it was an H&K gun though. So I searched it up for some information. And these forum people were having "a contest of who had biggest balls" (if you will) of gun knowledge, and apparently the MP5 was... I dunno.. I still dont know. Haha

KWA G36C no good? (when you said G36, did you mean G36C?) Its the procedure you go for to get all the fat sucked out of your belly. *Wears flame retardant suit*

FYI for all those who want to covert their G36 to use Armalite mags, here you go.

Lipo is a type of battery were each cell in the battery(a battery consists of multiple cells) is 3.7V The KWA G36c is lipo ready and can handle a 3 cell lipo battery. 11.1V Lipo battery can have lots of mah (milliamps and its roughly 1 bb per mah) as well. Also Another option for the G36 is the norweign(sp?) V stock it holds a Large battery and allows for the stock to still fold.
The M4 has a similiar system called a crane stock. |

yeah I saw that stock for the M4, I think Xroyal has it on his M4 sleek looking. The norweign v stock sounds like a good idea though, have to look into it.

Hell yes to Star for looks. Hell no for inards. I just got me two Star G36Cs. Brand spankin new and I'm having to replace some of the guts. The cylinder and piston head didn't seal, nor did the cylinder head on either unit. Not to mention one of the triggers was broken right from the retailer.
In the end, Star makes the best looking G36 out there. Not to mention tear down of the gun is a snap, same goes for their V3 mechbox as they have a quick change spring mechbox. FYI - I'm able to put a 9.6 mini in my hand guards with lots of room. Probably enough to put a 10.8. Changing batteries is easy as pie so I run with a couple extras just in case. I can attest of that... was mine for a while...
I miss her... AND I double wired it to front and rear. Using a LayLax M4 stock adapter and a VLTOR stock. You could also use a CRANE or even a full stock if you want. AND I could remove the AR stock and still use the G36 stock without problems. AND By doing so, I could quick swap the spring out of the gearbox by folding the stock WITHOUT TOOLS! Star G36 series FTW! This will be my next gun. |
