Yeah, airsoft manufacturers must have realized how ugly it was and decided not to make it

Down here in the states, the XD is giving Glock a run for it's money. There are a lot of PD's that are switching to the XD from Glock. It's only a matter of time before someone gets the rights to make an airsoft version. Hopefully it's a top manufacturer and if so I believe it will be a big seller.

I'm a .45ACP fan and not so much .40 or 9mm.From whats been said, the only reason L.E. moved away from .45 ACP was due to lack of rnd.'s and the single action (a few have gone off,not when they were suppost to either). So now they have the rns. with punch power! My buddy does competition shootting and was surprised that just shootting it for the first time how he said it felt like he's had it for years! It just seemed to sit in his hands right!

I thought I had read Croatian as well and Springfield Arms picked it up for mass sales! I'v talked to a couple guys now that own and or have tryed it,and they all seem pretty impressed by it's performance.
Can't wait for a GBB version,this is outa left field,but hope it's a KWA! (I hate Glock's,but love my G-19)

You are both correct. The company had changed it name before they sold it to Springfield Armory. It was actually called the HS2000 before it was XD. One of my partners is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to firearms and I remember him telling me about it. It wasn't big seller over here until Springfield Arms picked it up then everyone went nuts for it. Funny how this came up b/c I was watching the Boondocks tonight and they had XD airsoft guns.

I have a 40cal XD and I quite like it. The only problem for Canadian XD owners is repairs. Glocks you can get repaired very easily and the parts are plentiful and the gunsmith can work with it really easily. Any XD repairs, you have to send down to the states and the extractor pin is apparently the worst offender. I have put about 5000 rounds through mine and its working fine, but I have had friends in my club tell me they had to send theirs off to Springfield at 2000 rounds for broken extractor pins. They had their guns back in about 45 days, which is ridiculous, but they are all working fine now. XD is a great platform. |

One of my Team mates had one and sold it. Then when I was down in Las Vegas I was able to try one out and just loved it.I'm a 1911 fan,but the XD was so nice to shoot. I picked it up for the first time and my grouping was nice and tight like I'd been shooting it for ten years lol.It was like a long lost friend, but thats just me It was very controllable for a .45 .
