Can I inport this not a noob question I hope

I have a M11A1 by KSC and was wondering if I could import the metal upper and bolt upgrade, I would like to get the whole metal upgrade but I am under the impression that a metal lower is considerd a restricted item but just the upper and bolt is ok am. I rite or wrong?

I believe the upper is ok, since in most cases, the part that holds the serial number is the lower receiver, and that's generally the restricted part. However, I'm not 100% certain here. I know on the MP5, it's ok to import the lower receiver, but the upper is restricted.

I don't see any problems with you importing the bolt yourself though.

Crunchmeister is right, the part that has the serial number on the real weapon is the prohibited part. However, the gun in question is itself a prohibited weapon in real steel.....sooooooo...I'm not sure how that works. I'm thinking it would be fine since AR upper receivers can be imported fine, and they can be put on any AR (on real steel you could put one on a select fire prohibted weapon) because the part that makes it select fire is the lower receiver. So thinking in this way, I'm thinking the non-prohibited receiver part (probably the upper) would be fine to import.

The bolt would be fine to import.

Good question though. Not noobish at all.

Agreed. A&A are still importing till the end of March, so that's almost your only bet. Expect to pay about $400 for it from A&A. It's pointless to ask Ken at 007, since he'll be ordering it through A&A anyway.

Maybe contact LeGros from shootsoft.ca. I hear he'll be importing metal AR bodies, so if he can do that, maybe he can get you that part too. And chances are, he can get it for a better price than A&A will charge you.
