SR-16 Goodness

Just thought I'd show people a good clean armalite for once.

Internally:
Entirely Stock

Externally:
Crosman Red Dot Sight
King Arms Riser
CP Gear Magazine Stock Pouch
G&P OD Slim Rail Covers

I do have a mount for a light, but I am currently awaiting a new flashlight to arrive for said mount.

I've added some detail shots of the buttstock pouch and Slim rail covers for those interested. I'm not overly impressed with the quality of the mag pouch. It just feels "cheap". I, myself, would be reluctant to buy other products after seeing that and an M4 double mag pouch. The G&P slim rail covers though, I would recommend those to anyone. They've got a nice rubbery feel and don't have any play in them to rattle like the hard TM ones.

Just my $0.02...

I think a 416 stock would look amazing on that gun... Its 3.5" shorter than a regular stock...

How long is your stock? I have the same gun except for flip up sights and a crane stock and that I am looking at getting rid of, and changing it to a 416 stock or retractable with a battery bag..

Crosman RDS eh? I had one on my paintball gun...nearly broke in two after a few games, then it shorted out from the rain.

Nice elsewise.

My stock is long enough, just perfect for me. I thought about going to a Crane-type collabsible stock, but i think that would ruin the look of my specific setup right now. Plus, I abslutely hate battery bags. If I bought a 416 stock, it would come on a 416.

Funny story. I've had that on for the 2 years Ii've owned the gun. I've smoked it on trees, rocks, hard bits of gear, It's been dropped in both snow and mud, yet the only time it's ever failed me is when the batteries die. You must have got a Monday or Friday one.

You almost have me converted, but I still like the collapsable stock on my M4. I do love the rail covers though.

Eek... another M4. Way to be originial.

J/K.. Saw your gun when we played last weekend :P. I'm not an Armalitte fan but your SR-16 definetly looks good. They look WAY better kept simple and not riced out. The mag pouch on the stock looks great too.

I don't like M4's but I think the SR-16 does look cool indeed. Flat top, rail system and full stock. Collapsible stocks are not so nice in my opinion besides the Crane type of stock but then again, that would mean a whole new battery or a buttstock pouch which I don't like when it's used to carry a battery. Same goes for those AN/PEQ.

I am personally not a fan of flashlights or lasers.

I am planning on getting this on mine:

And a Magpul PTS MIAD grip and am now seriously considering those rail covers you got :P

Hope you dont mind me showing off some SR 16 goodness as well. My newest and just finished over this weekend. Mine is an M4 version of an SR.

TM bases M4 mechbox, Systema full metal SR 16 M4 reciever, newly installed SRC tactical rail system, Armalite 3x20 wide scope accuratly installed on the carry handle, Mad bull black python 6.03 455mm(AK47) tightbore barrel with M4 QD Silencer. Internal is upgraded nicely with metal oiless bushings, Prometheus MS110, BB spring guide, Prom vented piston head.

Heres some pics.

I was thinking of doing the same with my gun, by adding a collapsable stock and a mag pouch with the battery in it.

The only thing i would do different is feed the wires down the buffer tube and feed the wires through a hole into the pouch.

Keeps the wires from being seen and unable to catch onto something...

as shown on this page:

http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums...=108363&page=2

Still need to know how long a regular stock is... So I can make up my mind if a want a 416 stock.

I still am in consideration of doing that, my buddy has a spare buffer tube all ready to go(see below). Havnt decided yet. I played a couple games already, and barely noticed the wire at all, Im going to shorten it to make it a little neater as well as some good heat wrap or something around to wires for more protection and blend.

10.5 Inches [~26.7 cm for you metric-type loony toons] This measurment we taken directly from the rear edge of the lower reciever, to the end of the buttplate.

I love my Crosman RDS. Nobody else is either smart enough or stupid enough [I can't figure which] to put one on. Besides, it was cheap and available at the time.

Thank you, but it gets some wear. I dropped it muzzle down into a mud puddle last weekend. Nailed a couple of trees with it and such. Things like that.

As I recall, I schooled you 4 times this weekend with my M4 and iron sights.

On another note my mag changes take only 2 seconds, really, if you dont believe me ask Red Ghost.
