Honestly the answers to all of your questions can be found all over the internet if you look it up. As for short Vs long it's just a preference question so if you have anything like a spine you should be able to decide.

Short or long really depends on what set up you have or which one looks better for you. You cant really ask someone to answer that for you because in the end you get the same effect of bbs spraying out.
Which brand? If you want full metal and good quality I would suggest the G&P models. They come it both long, short... military type or RIS types. Other Info? What more can you need... the damn ammo (as in grenades) for these things are crazy expensive. Some are high maintenance. They dont shoot that far either and if your planning on playing outdoors you will rarely have the chance of using them. Unless you have a group of people charging at you or if they were together as a group (any other situation persist..) If you want the cosmetics look of a gun with a G-nade launcher then go for it. Its all up to you. |

I got to play around with the G&P full metal one today. Nice unit, but mostly for show. As Stokes says, the shells can be fussy (I have 8 and they always need maintenance) and they're really only good for CQB, unless you have game rules regarding 40mm and fixed target destruction scenarios.
The range sucks at maybe 40 feet, but scares the living hell out of the new kids at their first game. That's almost worth the expense right there. Almost.

Here is the issue with the 203's. The more BB's you put in the less range you get.
I my self have a GP-25 on my AK. The shells are made for 15rounds and thay have some range to them. Not alot but more than normal. I my self like the Sun Project 203's. |

I have 2 of the SP ones, and once you see the G&P, the SP just doesn't cut it. The barrel lock to keep the barrel from sliding off on the SP versions never works (latch is milled too short), but the G&P has lots of spare metal so that won't happen.
And with a metal barrel for about 50 bucks more (in Canada that is), the G&P is worth it.

For m4;s that have the battery in the foregip, is it possible to move the wire into the grenade launcher, and use that to hold your battery?

Yes, but the size of the battery you can fit in the foregrip (non-RIS) is usually the same you can fit into the M203...

With marginal gains. NiCad and NiMH voltage varies considerly between packs, so you won't get nearly as big a boost in power as you'd think. Li-ion packs are much better with the voltage thing, but if you're using Li-ion, you're not going to need that much battery space anyway.
