Slug question
Hi ppl, just ordered a G&P M203 and i was wondering if there was a specific brand of slugs that are compatible or any 40mm cartridge will do. I'm about to get a Mosquito Molds Moscart but most websites advertise this for CAW M79 and Sun Project launchers only.

Need a specific type of shell to launch slugs than the typical 165 BBs ones. Not that I haven't tried the 165BB one cartidges with a slug, but the shell itself looks different than the BB shower ones and more than likely acts different.
I fired off a slug from a teammates CAW 6 shot launcher, and it's more awe than performance. The recoil is impressive, the slug rips out on propane, goes about 50ft, the flips off wherever it likes. Am sure your money would be better spent buying 165BB launcher 40mm grenades. The slug is a thin plastic tube with a solid styrofoam end on it, and is very prone to breaking. One way or the other, you have something to chase after later, and you might go through replacing slugs at an expensive rate depending on your useage. |

I stand by my statment that M203s are more then usless.
not even for intimidation. I see someone with an M203.....I dont get scared. I think; this guy has to get within spitting distance to use that, its heavy and makes his weapon more difficult to manipulate, he thinks Im scared of it. Id have to say the only purpose of the M203 is scaring 1st time players....after that, they realize how usless they are and simply act against the user. Aside from that, they look neat, but as a combat weapon.....negative. However, the street-sweeper or an M79 can be good for CQB as a primary weapon....but some places dont like grenades in CQB. But I heard about new grenades that only shoot 60 BBs but at 100 feet instead of the normal 20 feet. |

The 163BB shell is very usefull in the boobytrap contraption. It was used successfully with a trip wire at one of our skirmish. It was pretty impressive.
If I was to buy 203 shell, it would be to build boobytraps!
