I think you are thinking of a lanyard, not a sling. And I don't think it attaches from the pistol to your shoulder, unless I misread that sentence, I believe it attaches from the pistol to your belt.

I guess thats the old style lanyard. Considering the holster is higher up on the body, almost under the shoulder. I was thinking of the more modern ones, like this:
Havn't seen any ones like the one in the picture you posted. But i'm sure you could make one, although in that particular picture it looks like it's just hanging around the neck like a necklace. Then again it is a picture of a doll... |

It looks like that lanyard is just on the doll wrong. I believe it should go over his shoulder and loop under his arm (Passing under that side's epaulette) like old boyscout uniforms and military uniforms (I think), not around his neck.

You could just make one with some rope and get like a key ring or some thing like that form the dollor store
