ACM tactical vest
Hey guys, I've been in the market for a new tacvest for a while, and I saw this over on velocity arms: http://www.torontoairsoft.com/produc...id_product=731 It looks like it's essentially a wasatch vest; and the price is good. But, I've been burned in the past on things I thought were "priced to good to be true" (not from velocity though, love those guys) I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with the tactical gear from ACM, and if it's any good? any horror stories? I don't want to jump into getting a vest that'll just fall apart my first game. Thanks!

ACM means all china made. It may be okay, it may suck. Its a gamble.

A real vest of this type is about 120-200$ at most. A good quality replica is a little less.
I'd run away all china stuff that in the 60$ and bellow price range.

you cant really go wrong with ACM gear, its not like a ACM gun cuz they are made from pot metal, but in terms of fabric half the clothes we wear these days are made in CHINA, you arent buying a kevlar vest to prevent real bullets from hitting you, so go get it, its a good buy since it comes with lots of pouches etc

The stuff you wear from china was OUTSOURCED there to be assembled. When you talk about gear, they copied the desing. And they did it at the lowest cost possible.
I've seen china replica gear brand new, in pretty horrible shape. With stiches a dog could do better. And the overall quality of the rig was mediocre. You won't be able to re-sell your crappy gear if you decide to. If you buy a reputed brand, your gear will resell fast.

It is well worth the extra money you pay, I have had mine for 5-6 years, no issue. the other maybe 25 dollars, but may only last a month or two before you have to replace it. never buy the cheap copy if the real ones are not that much to begin with

Condor has some good mid-range priced items. Might be worth a look.

I bought an ACM CIRAS from VA for $80. It isn't bad if you're on a budget.

Thanks for all the input guys, I appreciate it! I think I'm gonna hold out then, go with something more reputable. I want gear that'll last a while, not something that'll fall apart in the field.
