depends on how much you use it or if u store it for a long time. i use my ksc mac11 all winter and i lube it after every game and never had a problem with it.
im bringing a ksc usp compact from its winter slumber, im going to take it apart and lube the internals, then the next day test it out. did the same thing last spring and it worked
but no matter what ALWAYS leave some propane or whatever u use in ure mags. prevents the o-rings from leaking.
